Coming from a very divisive 2019 where the company lazily booked her as a tweener, fans soon began to unanimously turn against her following the Royal Rumble where she managed to get the victory in the women's match (over the favorite to win, NXT's Shayna Baszler). The hatred only increased after she defeated Rhea Ripley and won the NXT Women's Championship at [=WrestleMania=] 36, with many once again seeing it as a useless win to add to her ridiculously long list of accomplishments and as derailing Ripley's momentum in the process. To say nothing about her even more absurdly powerful booking into and throughout 2021, where she gained three more title reigns in the span of only ''three months'' (July-October). It would not be an understatement to say that Charlotte has alienated the majority of the fanbase not only as a result of WWE's ridiculous favoritism toward her, but her utter refusal to acknowledge it in real-life.
