Short Round is base-breaker and many fans felt upset upon learning Mutt died in Dial of Destiny, so while still unpopular is no longer loathed either

Cleanup. Single disliked portrayals of otherwise non-hated characters. Only Erik didn't get better and he's more ignored by fans unlike Malekith.

** ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld'':
*** The Earth-based supporting cast, namely Darcy Lewis and her intern boyfriend, Erik Selvig, and Jane Foster, steal screen time away from the much more entertaining and compelling Asgardian characters. The girls are especially disliked: Jane for her [[StrangledByTheRedString underdeveloped]] relationship with the titular character that ultimately [[RomanticPlotTumor brought down the plot]], and Darcy because many people find her just annoying rather than funny. The fact that many more interesting characters and plot points from the [[ComicBook/TheMightyThor source material]] were shortchanged in exchange for her did not help. It's a shame since they were liked or tolerated well enough in the first movie, but this one just has no idea what to do with them. Later MCU projects tried to salvage their characters: Darcy via ''Series/{{WandaVision}}'' and Jane in ''Film/ThorLoveAndThunder''. While Darcy's appearance in ''[=WandaVision=]'' won back most fans and is considered to have [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap rescued her from the scrappy heap]], Jane proved to become more of a BaseBreakingCharacter in ''Love and Thunder''.
*** Of all the MCU villains, Malekith the Accursed has the fewest fans. He doesn't have any real motivation for trying to destroy the world, and while most of the [=MCU=] villains were fairly {{Flat Character}}s at that point, most of them had at least a little more to go on. Malekith has nothing; it's even worse when compared to [[Film/{{Thor}} first film]]'s AntiVillain BreakoutCharacter Loki.

** The incarnation of Taskmaster from ''Film/BlackWidow2021'' fared a little better than the above-mentioned Malekith, but they still have very few fans, largely due to [[TheyChangedItNowItSucks the massive deviations in almost every respect]] from the comic book character, one of the more popular Marvel villains at that, to the point that it's widely considered InNameOnly (and even then, the civilian name has also been changed). What really makes it bad is not just the changes, but the fact Taskmaster is reduced to a mind-controlled, voiceless {{mook}} with no personality to speak of that might have made the changes tolerable, making the character a [[Characters/MarvelComicsBuckyBarnes Winter Soldier]] knock-off, [[spoiler:even discounting the gender swap]].
** From the same film, Dreykov is similarly unpopular for being a one-note, underutilized BigBad who's hard to take seriously and hurts the attempt at a more grounded story with his over-the-top nature. incarnation of Taskmaster from ''Film/BlackWidow2021'' fared a little better than the above-mentioned Malekith, but they still have has very few fans, largely due to [[TheyChangedItNowItSucks the massive deviations in almost every respect]] from the comic book character, one of the more popular Marvel villains at that, to the point that it's widely considered InNameOnly (and even then, the civilian name has also been changed). What really makes it bad is not just the changes, but the fact that Taskmaster is reduced to a mind-controlled, voiceless {{mook}} with no personality to speak of that might have made the changes tolerable, making the character a [[Characters/MarvelComicsBuckyBarnes Winter Soldier]] knock-off, [[spoiler:even discounting the gender swap]].
** From the same film, *** Dreykov is similarly unpopular for being a one-note, underutilized BigBad who's hard to take seriously and hurts the attempt at a more grounded story with his over-the-top nature. [[HateSink Although all the hate was intentional,]] intentional]], he still fails to be a truly menacing villain villain, for that matter, making it a complete waste of Creator/RayWinstone's talents. [[spoiler:[[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking In addition]], his final death scene during the finale suffered from a severe case of SpecialEffectFailure.]]

* From ''Film/TheNightOfTheHunter'', we have Icey Spoon, an old woman who is, without a doubt, the personification of '''The Nag'''. She's constantly belittling her husband to the point that he's completely ineffectual in helping anyone (she even admits to a crowd that she thinks about canning when she's having sex), she pushes Willa Harper into getting remarried to Harry Powell, and is utterly won over by his charms. Half the problems in the movie John and Pearl have to deal with are because of Icey's "helping hand". [[spoiler:When Powell is finally arrested, Icey appears at his trial, drunk out of her mind and leading a lynch mob to hang Powell.]]

* Ludlow from ''Film/{{Pixels}}''. He has NoIndoorVoice, screams constantly, and acts like a complete LoonyFan towards Lady Lisa, complete with StalkerShrine and everything.
* Costa from ''Film/ProjectX''. He's an arrogant, promiscuous, sociopathic bastard who bullies his friends, is casually misogynistic, racist, and homophobic, and is responsible for most of the problems that occur in the film, including stealing from a drug dealer he knows. It ''certainly'' doesn't help that while many of the other characters, such as the slightly sympathetic Thomas, [[spoiler:receive prison time]] for the reckless party that Costa started, not only does [[spoiler:''[[KarmaHoudini Costa get off]] scot free'']], but he's treated like a saint! The writers ''really'' tried to make him like [[WesternAnimation/SouthPark Cartman]], but forgot that even ''he'' had some sympathy and ''sometimes'' gets his comeuppance.

** A lot of people didn't like this incarnation of April O' Neil, due to feeling she takes up too much time in the movie away from the Turtles (not helped due to their dynamic being considered one of the strongest points in the movie), has too bland a subplot, and leads to a lot of what's generally considered Padding. Being portrayed by Creator/MeganFox also added to the divisiveness, as her sexpot looks diverges from how April is typically drawn or played.
** When it comes down to it, Eric Sacks is just an unnecessary new character who steals the spotlight not only from Shredder, but from Karai and Baxter Stockman as well. What earns him such a great amount of hatred is the fact that he was [[WhatCouldHaveBeen supposed to be]] this incarnation's Shredder through a RaceLift. * ''TheScrappy/JamesBond''

* ''Film/JamesBond'':
** Tiffany Case from ''Film/DiamondsAreForever'', a DamselScrappy who suffers from a case of AdaptationalDumbass as the movie progresses.
** Sheriff J.W. Pepper, the obnoxious redneck sheriff comic relief from ''Film/LiveAndLetDie''. They also managed to shoehorn him in to ''Film/TheManWithTheGoldenGun'' by having him [[ContrivedCoincidence touring Bangkok]] AND he's around for the infamous scene where the awesome car jump is ruined by a slide-whistle sound effect and him rolling around in the back of the car yelling. How irritating is Sheriff Pepper? On Blog/ToplessRobot's countdown of obnoxious comedic sidekicks he ''beat out Jar-Jar''. [[spoiler:Fortunately, his status as a ButtMonkey results in him [[PutOnAPrisonBus getting taken into custody by the Thai police]] in the latter film.]]
** Mary Goodnight, also from ''Film/TheManWithTheGoldenGun'', is often cited as one of the worst Bond Girls in the franchise alongside [[Film/AViewToAKill Stacey Sutton]] and [[Film/TheWorldIsNotEnough Christmas Jones]] (who are mentioned below) due to Creator/BrittEkland's DullSurprise acting and the character constantly coming across as TheLoad, a DamselInDistress, a DumbBlonde, ''and'' a bad example of the ComicRelief despite supposedly being a trained secret agent. It also doesn't help that Andrea Anders, the secondary Bond Girl played by Creator/MaudAdams (who would return as the main Bond Girl in ''Film/{{Octopussy}}''), is widely considered to be much better-acted and a more interesting character [[spoiler:only to be unceremoniously killed off halfway through the film]]. The real kicker, though? The Goodnight from the novels was likeable and competent, a far cry from the absurdly stupid and clumsy MsFanservice the script uses her as.
** Bibi Dahl from ''Film/ForYourEyesOnly'' is usually regarded as rather off-putting, being a teenage girl who comes on to much older men. She is also unnecessary in the plot, and it doesn't help that Melina Havelock and the Countess Lisl are much more interesting and complex Bond Girls.
** The BigBad Kristatos from the same film is not [[DownplayedTrope entirely]] hated by the fandom, but is generally considered a forgettable villain. The reveal of him as the villain is [[SeinfeldIsUnfunny no longer as shocking as it once was]], and he isn't particularly eccentric or memorable otherwise.
** Stacey Sutton from ''Film/AViewToAKill'' is the epitome of a DamselScrappy: she screams at the slightest provocation, gets captured at the most inconvenient times and forces Bond to rescue her, and fails to notice Zorin sneaking up on her in a ''zeppelin''. The cherry on the sundae? [[spoiler:She somehow survives over the much cooler [[EvilIsSexy (and hotter)]] May Day]].
** Dr. Christmas Jones from ''Film/TheWorldIsNotEnough'' is hated for generally existing only so that Bond has a backup girl [[spoiler:when the infinitely-more-interesting primary love interest, Elektra King, turns out to be evil]]. Not to mention the [[WTHCastingAgency casting of Denise Richards as a brilliant nuclear physicist]].
** Played by Goldie, a British DJ whose lack of acting experience becomes glaringly obvious onscreen, Mr. Bullion from the same film is this for the henchmen. While he doesn't attract the same kind of hate as Christmas Jones does due to having a lesser part to play, he is nonetheless hated for being an obnoxious "gangsta" stereotype and a DirtyCoward; [[spoiler:thankfully, he gets gunned down by [[EnsembleDarkhorse Valentin Zukovsky]]]].
** Verity from ''Film/DieAnotherDay'' (the one with the unnecessary [[ComputerGeneratedImages CGI]] and the pointless IcePalace) received a [[IncrediblyLamePun cold]] reception from critics and audiences. Aside from serving as a superfluous cameo from Music/{{Madonna}} (who composed the film's theme song), her acting suffers from DullSurprise and she has absolutely no chemistry with the rest of the cast, either. Madonna even won a UsefulNotes/GoldenRaspberryAwardForWorstSupportingActress at that year's ceremony.
** Dominic Greene from ''Film/QuantumOfSolace'' is popularly cited as the weakest of the Craig-era villains, and one of the most underwhelming [[BigBad Big Bads]] in the franchise's history. He doesn't have any of the visceral psychosis or sadism of his predeccessor Le Chiffre or his successors Silva and Oberhauser, and he overall comes off more as a shyster trying to make a quick buck than as a WorthyOpponent for [=MI6=]'s top agent. It's perhaps telling that, although ''Film/{{Spectre}}'' acknowledges him as an agent of the titular organization and his photo is seen briefly, he isn't included in the literal RoguesGallery towards the end.
** His henchman Elvis from the same film isn't much better in this regard, sharing similar issues with Greene and often being regarded as TheLoad. There's also the fact that, while most Bond villains and henchmen are known for having [[RedRightHand a particularly quirky physical distinction]], his apparently being having ''[[WTHCostumingDepartment a dodgy toupee]]'' makes him hard to take seriously.
** General Medrano comes across as a one-dimensional BigBadWannabe more typical of a ''Rambo'' sequel than Bond.
** Madeleine Swann from ''Film/{{Spectre}}'' was considered by many to be the weakest and most forgettable of the Craig-era Bond Girls, citing her undeveloped character and backstory, lack of chemistry with Bond, and for spending most of the film as a DamselInDistress. Fortunately, she is RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap in [[Film/NoTimeToDie the next installment]]; there, her backstory and relationship with Bond was far more developed, and she proves herself far more capable of handling her own in a fight.
** Franz Oberhauser ([[spoiler:Ernst Stavro Blofeld]]) from ''Spectre'' is hated for being [[spoiler:an InNameOnly parody of Ernst Stavro Blofeld regulated to being a PsychopathicManchild obsessed with ruining Bond's life]]. Like Madeleine above, however, he is RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap by the time of ''Film/NoTimeToDie''. [[spoiler:Too bad it's reserved for a OneSceneWonder.]]

* Preston's father Fred from ''Film/BlankCheck'' is undoubtedly the most hated character in the movie, even more than what the [[HateSink writing intended]].
