* [[spoiler:How Seong-Ah died. She was in the school when a fire started, trapping her in the home economics room. She succumbed to an asthma attack, and became a vengeful spirit as a result of her horrific passing. You hear her crying and desperately calling for her mom and Na-Yeong to save her, [[ForegoneConclusion but noone does.]]]]

Eun-mi went insane with grief, and years later is still trying to get revenge for her child's death- which explains a lot of her violent, antagonistic behavior when she appears in the final levels. ''White Day: A Labyrinth Named School'' is not without its sad moments.
----
* Some of the ghost stories have their share of pain.
** 13. One-Sided Love: The story of Yeon-sun, who developed a crush on her Korean Language teacher and decided to write him a love letter, slipping it into the attendance book before class. [[HumiliationConga Not only does a substitute teacher find it, he reads it out loud to the whole class, mocks Yeon-sun and lets her classmates snicker themselves silly. Then her beloved teacher arrives, reads the letter himself and stares at her in complete disgust.]] All the poor girl did was have a crush on a teacher.
* The reason Na-Yeong hung herself. [[spoiler:She felt guilty for not being able to save Seong-Ah, to the point that she began to suffer from auditory hallucinations.]] And So-Yeong's the one to find her body.
* There are notes to be found that imply that the murderous janitors are possessed, which is why they are at the school at night and so intent on beating a student's brains out. Especially with Ji-Hyeon mentioning that the janitors are actually quite nice during the daytime.
