** Alternate Celine has a brief HopeSpot seeing Chloe but comes to realize that the Chloe she is fighting is not hers and that the Alternate Chloe never returned from her mission, something she wishes she did not have to find out from the battle. Her conversation with Louis outright has her admitting she does not remember her happiness from the past and unable to drink Louis's tea since he died.

** Etie and Alternate Celine both find it difficult to build up the resolve to fight each other due to their friendship with their respective counterparts and despite Alternate Celine believing Etie to be a Corrupted, with the two choosing to do things quickly before either of them actually decides against it.

** The final battle also has the eight corrupted royals&Siblings coming back for a round two. Alt Ivy has her HeelRealization (including towards her treatment of Hortensia), Alfred is practically LaughingMad from despair, and when Timerra is defeated, she says "Finally mom... I'm coming home!". The way their English voice actors say the lines has made many say that it's even more powerful.
* At the end of the Xenologue, all of the surviving characters hop to the main universe as the Alternative Elyos is, for all intents and purposes, dead. The surviving Winds are clearly unhappy that they have to do this and feel as if they are abandoning everyone, especially Mauvier. But as they acknowledge, their world is too far gone and staying there would just be waiting for their own end.
** The worst part? Alternate Alear ''knows'' their world is beyond saving - they don't bring their counterpart there with the goal of saving the world, but simply to get their last remaining allies out of there before they die too (which Mauvier sadly does).

** The final battle also has the eight corrupted royals&Siblings coming back for a round two. ** Kagetsu tries to make an offer of friendship to Alternate Ivy only for her to rebuke it as being fake, but wondering why someone who despised her so would sacrifice his life. Alternate Ivy meanwhile is overjoyed at seeing Zelkov again but then decides to kill him after he turns down joining her out of disgust towards her behavior, with Zelkov declaring that he’ll have no regrets striking her down because of it.
** Alternate Timerra expresses grief over seeing Merrin and Panette, believing both of them to have been revived as Corrupted after they were killed to fight for Elusia and promising to return them to death. Merrin and Panette meanwhile are reluctant to fight her and try to comfort her in their own ways, only for it to fail due to them and Alternate Timerra being the opposite in personality to their respective counterparts.

** Both Alternate Diamant and Alcryst are in shock over seeing Saphir and question why she would be fighting against them, but quickly realize that the Saphir before them is not theirs and that the Alternate Saphir died protecting King Morion. Alternate Diamant mentions that he always imagines Saphir whenever he stands on the battlefield, implying that her death hit him as hard as what his retainers' did.
** Lindon can't help but feel put off by both Alternate Ivy and Hortensia, declaring the former's actions inexcusable and something the Alternate Lindon would’ve wanted no part of while failing to befriend the latter with cute-looking sweets he baked himself.

* During the ending for the game, most of the images seen are that of characters (if they survive throughout the story) showing what they are doing in the near-future after the defeat of Sombron. Most of them are generally hopeful and positive, showcasing how through the Fell Dragon's death, Elyos is heading into a brighter future. [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers Not so much for Hortensia,]] however, as her image is that of a quiet GraveMarkingScene for her late father Hyacinth. Unlike everyone else, her image carries a somber tone to it, as it's a sad reminder that Hyacinth was once a good person who fell victim to Sombron's corruption. Hortensia wanted nothing more than to gain his approval as he genuinely loved her after his change, but now that he's dead, she'll never get any further chances. Thankfully, it turns into a heartwarming moment when the next image has Rosado and Goldmary coming over to pay their own respects to the late king and comfort their friend at the same time.

* [[WhamEpisode Chapter 10]] and its aftermath. Not only does Alear's party fail to save King Morion, but Veyle also arrives and reveals herself as the Fell Princess who is [[BigBad Sombron]]'s daughter and Lumera's murderer, Sombron is revived and consumes King Hyacinth which [[BreakTheCutie devastates Hortensia]] (more details on her TraumaCongaLine further down this page), ''[[FromBadToWorse and]]'' Veyle and Sombron steal the Ring Emblems you gathered and '''[[ForcedToWatch corrupt them right in front of your eyes]]'''. By that point, Alear nearly crosses the DespairEventHorizon.

** Alear ''dies'' saving Veyle from Sombron at the end of Chapter 21. This isn't an "OnlyMostlyDead" moment like Robin in ''Awakening's'' GoldenEnding or Corrin at the end of ''Birthright'' and ''Conquest'', ''they are COMPLETELY'' '''''dead'''''.

* Chapter 19 has Alear's group coming upon a port town in Elusia that is usually bustling with people, only for it to instead be plagued with Corrupted and miasma. While Alfred and Timerra want to defeat them and try to help the survivors, Alear and Ivy immediately realize there aren't any due to it having been ravaged a long time ago unlike Florra and decide to keep moving (or they would've had Marni and Mauvier not intercepted them), evidenced by the [[ChestMonster Corrupted-inhabited visitable houses]] scattered throughout the map. Talking to the other group members after the battle has many of them discussing how the town is just another example of the pain and suffering brought by Sombron and his followers, while Rosado mentions having a friend that owned a fruit stall here who is very most likely dead by this point.
