** While I'm at it, I will also mention the ending sequence for the last episode of GT that shows clips that go from DragonBall to DragonBall GT, evoking MASSIVE amounts of nostalgia for me. I lived my childhood along with DragonBall and my adolescence along Z and GT. Again, say what you will about GT, but what it got right it got EXTREMELLY right. Now if you will excuse me I will go mourn Piccolo.

* In ''Cooler's Revenge'', seeing Goku, him and his friends utterly defeated, cups a bird which died in the battle between Goku and Cooler, sobbing about how it didn't even do anything wrong.

* When Goku is fighting Kid Buu in the last few episodes. Throughout all of Dragon Ball Goku never ever stopped fighting, never gave up, and wouldn't stop. This was the one time it was too much. Goku could NOT win. Pretty much the strongest anime character of all time is getting his ass handed to him by a LITTLE PINK BUBBLEGUM KID. Goku stomped a planet destroying tyrant into the floor. Avenged his entire race, done pretty much everything, and he finally is bested by Buu....I cried harder than ever.

* One scene during the Cell saga, perhaps the only in the series to get this troper to cry was when [[spoiler: Cell returns and Gohan is fighting him. As his Kamehameha wave is being overpowered by Cells, we see Goku speaking to Gohan and telling him how much he believes in him. Given this troper's father died when he was Gohan's age, it's particularly heart-breaking.]]

* The speech Goku gives when trying to get Vegeta to fuse with him. Especially the part where he points out that everyone has been absorbed by Buu and can't even ''die.''

*** The real heartbreaker is watching Chaotzu knowingly sacrifice himself in an attempt to prevent Tien from dying, but shortly afterwards, seeing Tien using the last of his energy to try to avenge Chaotzu's death, and dying in the process.

** Oh God, YES. Or even earlier, [[spoiler: when Bardock assists the dying Tohma in his last moments and then starts using the cloth he used to clean up Tohma's blood from his face as a TragicKeepsake headband]].

* Mr. Satan tearing up when he finds [[spoiler: Fat Buu after Kid Buu spits him out.]] "Please, [wake up]...you're the only friend I have!"

* One scene during the cell saga, perhaps the only in the series to get this troper to cry was when [[spoiler: Cell returns and Gohan is fighting him.
