** A further twist of the knife: right before the bombs go off, Andrea tells Batman “Goodbye, my love” right in front of the Joker. Now, Joker knows Batman and Andrea were lovers at some point but obviously can’t be together now that Andrea is a murderer. And why is she a murderer? Because the Joker killed her father and set her on a path of obsessive revenge. The Joker ruined Batman’s best change at happiness and normalcy before they even knew each other. And what does he do seconds after he hears this revelation? He laughs hysterically.
