** Which sheds light on the name 'Deluded Depths' - like Alice, the Carpenter was delusional enough to think that sinking a town (or in Alice's case, repressing her memory beneath the surface of her consciousness) would help shield it from being destroyed by insanity. Both are woefully misguided.

After all the trouble Alice went through to help him, after a short but awesome moment in which they work together, and after a CurbStompBattle that can only be described as a CMOA... [[spoiler: Made more poignant by the fact that the Hatter died having (or trying to have) one final tea party with his dead comrades.]]
