Some Scout players even go out of their way to paint their items the most garish color imaginable (usually lime green) as a way to be more distracting (given the more muted colors of most maps, these colors stand out like a sore thumb) and for bragging rights ("I'm so good, I can have [insert color here] gear and nobody can touch me!").
