* In ''VideoGame/DigitalDevilSaga'', Heat's line of ''"She's just pissed because her girlfriend [[spoiler: got killed]]."'' indicates that he may ship [[LesYay Argilla/Jinana]].

Said friend's name isn't mentioned, but in the localization there's a ''very'' strong candidate: Kagero's best friend [[TheOjou Orochi]], who is also a potential bride for Ryoma.

*** In XIV, newcomer Love Heart will try to get the couple together as well, except she talks directly to Athena (in their pre fight dialogue) who immediately changes the subject.
** Robert Garcia/Yuri Sakazaki: Mai Shiranui, and most likely King as well. In Mai and Robert's XIII pre-fight talks, once Robert ticks her off via pointing out how {{Stripperiffic}} her outfit it, Mai openly refers to Robert as "Yuri's boyfriend" in the middle of a huge rant against him. It's specially notorious since Yuri and Robert's potential romantic relationship [[DownplayedTrope has been downplayed in the KOF continuity.]]

** Kyo Kusanagi/Yuki: In the KOF:KYO semi-canon continuity, Athena and Kensou support their relationship once they get into Kyo's circle of friends. (Though it may be an "IWantMyBelovedtoBeHappy" from Athena.) Kyo's sort-of pupil Shingo Yabuki also is pretty partial to it, and so are Kyo's HappilyMarried parents Saisyu and Shizuka who already treat Yuki as if she was their official daughter-in-law. * The entire town becomes this for the player character and their chosen love interest, once the relationship is confirmed by the giving of a promise ring, in ''VideoGame/StoryOfSeasons''. After the ring is given, speaking to the assorted neighbors will result in you learning that everyone has known all along who your sweetheart was.

* ''VideoGame/PersonaQ'': [[CloudCuckoolander Yukiko]], as it turns out, ships [[CrackPairing Kanji/Rise]]. This is despite Rise's obvious feelings for the P4 Hero and Kanji's crush on Naoto. And the player can make the P4 Hero ''agree'' with her. Rise later expresses confusion as to why Yukiko keeps telling her about Kanji's good points.

When Cait Sith checks Aeris's and Cloud's horoscopes for compatibility, he says they're a perfect match, gets excited, and offers to officiate at their wedding if Cloud wants (though sometimes he will say he feels bad for Tifa). In a scene that takes place in Aeris's bedroom, Cloud recalls a scene at his mother's house when she suggested he go out with 'an older girlfriend, one who will take care of you' (Aeris is slightly older than Cloud).
** Barret seems to slightly prefer the idea of Cloud hooking up with Tifa, teasing him about him being excited to 'see [his] baby' before returning to Tifa's bar - although when he tells Cloud who he thinks he should date, he only suggests 'one or the other'.
** In a mild example, Tifa is shown to be pleased, and sometimes even giggly, whenever Cloud and Barret are getting along rather than just [[SitcomArchNemesis fighting like they usually do]].
** A nurse that helped take care of Cloud in Mideel [[spoiler: after he barely survived falling into TheLifestream and washed up ashore there]] is a pretty clear Cloud/Tifa fangirl, telling Cloud "IfYouEverDoAnythingToHurtHer" ''very seriously'' when he comes back to the city [[spoiler: or what's left of it]] since [[spoiler: Tifa stayed behind for a while to nurse him back to health.]]

** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' has one very odd version of it thrown in. Apparently [[OurDragonsAreDifferent Manaketes]] can commune with their god, [[PhysicalGod Naga]], simply by praying to them. The entirety of the support between [[HalfHumanHybrid Nah]] and [[MommasBoy a male!Morgan]] is Naga subtly working to hook them up. [[spoiler: And in the S one, Nah says that Naga apparently told her that she and Morgan should "{{Get A Room}}."]] (Then again, [[BreakTheCutie both kids have had]] ''[[OrphansOrdeal very]]'' [[OrphansOrdeal harsh early lives]], so...)
