She doesn't do anything to try sabotaging Kio's other two potential romantic partners. [[spoiler: Possibly because polygamy is the norm on Catia (due to there being roughly a 20 to 1 ratio of females to males there), she's just trying to make sure that Eris is included in the relationship]].

* ''Literature/ChroniclesOfTheKencyrath'': By ''The Gates of Tagmeth'', pretty the whole college--at least Trishien, Ashe, Index, and the Director--seem to be shipping [[spoiler:Kirien/Kindrie]].

** In the Tiffany Aching subseries, it seems like everyone ships Tiffany and Roland: Miss Tick, very annoyingly, in ''Literature/AHatFullOfSky''; the Feegles--even though they think he's an idiot--in ''Literature/{{Wintersmith}}''; and by ''Literature/IShallWearMidnight'' Tiffany is getting rather sick of it, since she's already concluded it's not going to work. [[spoiler:And it doesn't; they both end up with other people.]]

** Both Bob the Skull and Thomas are big [=HarryxMurphy=] shippers, even though the two have discussed the reasons they don't want to get into a relationship (Harry doesn't want anything casual, Murphy doesn't want anything serious). Technically, Bob and Thomas are big Harryx''Anybody'' shippers, causing him to distrust their sincerity about Murphy. Though, in Thomas's case, he's more interested in Harry having a stable love life, whereas Bob does it simply because he's a pervert. Thomas has also brought up a few valid points for [[TeacherStudentRomance HarryxMolly]].
** Michael Carpenter was also a minor shipper of [=HarryxSusan=] by suggesting he marry her [[spoiler:before she was infected by the Red Court]], though this may have had more to do with him being a devout Catholic and disapproving of them having sex before marriage.
** In ''Literature/FoolMoon'', Harry's subconscious shipped [=HarryxMurphy=] when Harry was still involved with Susan.

** And by ''Literature/ColdDays'' Thomas gets just as frustrated at Harry for not immediately seeking out Murphy upon his return to Chicago as he does for Harry not going to see [[spoiler: Maggie, his ''daughter'']]. Adorably, Mouse also shows that he ships [=HarryxMurphy=].
** By the time of ''Literature/SkinGame'', Rawlins is heavily implied to ship... well, guess.

* Rose Campbell from Alcott's ''Literature/EightCousins'' saga ships [[StarCrossedLovers her cousin Archie with her best friend Phebe.]] Their assorted aunts and uncles at one time or another ship Rose herself with Archie or her other two possible suitor cousins: [[ChickMagnet Charlie]] and [[TVGenius Mackenzie aka Mac]]. [[spoiler: She chooses Mac in the end]]. Rose also ships Mac's younger brother [[TheDandy Steve]] with the local GenkiGirl, Kitty Van.

** Kurz, on the other hand, doesn't take sides and thinks Sōsuke should aim for the [[MarryThemAll "harem ending"]].

** [[TheHero Sam Temple]] apparently ships [=LanaXEdilio=] (Landilio) as stated in the first book:

As shown in ''[[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows The Deathly Hallows]]'', he would possibly ship it a bit more if they hadn't chosen [[NowOrNeverKiss the middle of a battle]] to get together...
** In a nod toward shippers in general, there's a moment in ''Half Blood Prince'' where Harry and Hermione start joking about the evidence of a relationship between Filch and Madame Pince, the librarian. There's a nod towards this when they're shown standing together later in the book.

** Issei happens to be a shipper for [[NiceGuy Yuuto Kiba]] and Tsubaki Shinra because they look good together, and the fact that he wants [[HoYay Kiba off his back already]]. He's also this to Saji and Souna, but gets a bit harder to do when [[spoiler: the latter insists that Issei calls her on a FirstNameBasis]].

* ''Literature/TheIliad'' (a rather dark book to say the least) becomes exponentially funnier if you view Agamemnon as this to Menelaus and Helen. The best part? It's more or less accurate. While other versions of the story give him an ulterior motive, in the original he just wants to help his brother get his wife back, and is willing to raise an entire army and raze her lover's city to the ground to do it.

* ''Literature/ImTheEvilLordOfAnIntergalacticEmpire'': PlayedForLaughs with Eila Sera Berman, main character Liam Sera Banfield's platonic female friend, who [[YaoiFangirl imagines his relationship with their other male friend Kurt Sera Exner as a boys' love storyline]]. This is also why she dislikes Prince Wallace: she cares less about him being an UpperClassTwit mooching off of Liam's largesse,[[note]]Liam had hoped that taking a member of the royal family under his protection would benefit him politically, but all Wallace ever seems to do is spend his allowance faster than Liam can replenish it.[[/note]] and more about her perception of him being the ThirdWheel in her imagined LoveTriangle.

It helps that Piper is the daughter of the aforementioned Goddess of Love.

* ''Literature/{{Toradora}}'' has pretty much every character as a ShipperOnDeck, Combined rather painfully with IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy. At first, Taiga and Ryuuji do this for each other (with Ryuuji/Minori and Taiga/Yuusaku respectively). Meanwhile, every other character not genetically related to Taiga ends up at some point shipping Ryuuji/Taiga.

* ''The Wereling Trilogy'' has a rather dark example. The first book, ''Wounded'', has it very clear that Marcy ships Tom with her teenage daughter, Kate, including making Kate dress up fancily while they all have dinner together. Then, it turns out that [[spoiler:Marcy kidnapped Tom to secretly turn him into a werewolf and have him mate with Kate, so ''she'' would also be a werewolf. When Tom makes it clear that he wants no part in any of that scheme, she sets about trying to messily kill him through the rest of the series. It also turns out that she did pretty much the same shipping scheme with Kate's previous human boyfriend, only killing him after Kate made it clear that she refused to sleep with any werewolf, even him.]]
* Sagami from ''Literature/WhenSupernaturalBattlesBecameCommonplace'' is a rather dark version of this trope. He knows Sayumi has feelings for Andou - like the rest of the Literature Club does - and, stating that [[HopelessSuitor she'd have no hope otherwise]], offers to help her get together with him. However, this is [[ItAmusedMe only because he wants to see the drama]] that will come from the RelationshipUpgrade and what it does to the club's unity.

* ''Literature/PrincessesOfThePizzaParlor'': From ''Princesses Are Never Lost'': In the game that Helen, Shelby, and their friends are playing, their respective characters, Gwen and Selvi, had a heartfelt conversation to settle the issues between them, that ends with a handshake where they [[HoldingHands hold hands]] longer than needed for just the shake. Claire, a fellow player, wants to "have [the characters] kiss and make up", but nothing else indicates there's romantic feelings between anyone, in-game or out.

* Marchosias of ''Literature/ShakuganNoShana'' makes it no secret he wants [[HardDrinkingPartyGirl Margery Daw]] and [[DoggedNiceGuy Keisaku Sato]] to become an OfficialCouple. [[spoiler:It happens and it results in him and Margery staying behind in Misaki City while the rest of their companions go to Xanadu.]]

Shortly afterward, Tessia's grandfather Virion remarks that the worst that their respective families could be planning for the two of them would end up in Arthur becoming his grandson-in-law, prompting Tessia to call out her grandfather. Later on, he ends up walking in on Tessia lying on top of Arthur while the latter was helping integrate her Beast Will into her Mana Core, remarking that while he wanted them to get closer, he didn't expect to be walking into what he thought was something far more intimate. Outside of their families, there's also the Asura Wren. Not only does he assume Tessia is Arthur's mate, he goes so far as to ask Arthur if the two have engaged in sex, [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend which Arthur denies with embarrassment]]. After Arthur's training in Epheotus is finished, he even ends up in the same dungeon where Tessia is stationed, to which fellow Asura Aldir questions him if it was Wren's doing so that he and Tessia would reunite.

* In ''Literature/TheFiresStone'', Chandra is very well aware of Darvish and Aaron's romantic feelings for each other long before either of them are aware of even their own, and rather wishes they'd simply confess already.
