** The Kick Strike rings. The times Haruto uses his throughout the series can be counted on a single hand, and Nitou uses his ''once''; this is probably due to the cost of CGI, camerawork and wires involved, as opposed to the relatively cheaper method of using the weapons.

** On a more literal note, Nitou's Beast Driver is an ancient artifact found in a temple; his upgrade is, likewise, found at a dig site covered in rock. How ancient wizards managed to create a gun before the shape was invented is anyone's guess though.

** In #31 [[spoiler:Haruto finds Koyomi where they first met (near the location of the ritual that created the Phantoms). When Haruto's magic is restored, Dragon's wings can be seen on his back during the magical surge that results if one looks closely, just like when Dragon was first born during the eclipse, only this time, they're composed of light instead of darkness.]]
** In #53 [[spoiler: Nitoh lends Haruto the Falco and Dolphi rings - two rings that Haruto had used before - to save the two kids.]]

* ChristmasEpisode: Episode 16.
* ChristmasMiracle: In episode 16, Phoenix destroys the presents Tatsuro was going to give to the kids at a orphanage in order to make him despair. Haruto goes inside him and and kills the Phantom. While in there, Santa gives Haruto a present. Back in reality, Haruto finds out the present is a ring which can only be used once, but it restores the presents, so Tatsuro can make the kids happy.

** Haruto gets owned by the [=MoTW=] in #20, but at the start of the next episode, #21, said [=MoTW=] gets curbstomped by the White Wizard himself.
** Two in #31: [[spoiler: Legion does this to the depowered Haruto]], and soon after [[spoiler: he repays the favor and finishes him after his powers return and he obtains the Infinity Ring]].

* DeusExitMachina: They had to separate Haruto from his Infinity ring for a while to keep him from defeating the [[spoiler: apparent]] BigBad too soon, so he basically just gives it to another mage because the White Wizard had promised her a power-up of her own if she got it from him. Despite having some pretty darn good reasons to be suspicious of the White Wizard by then. [[spoiler:He does this again by giving his Infinity Ring to an alternate universe version of himself]].

* GrowingUpSucks: The PocketDimension from #52-53 has a pretty extreme version of this: [[spoiler: The inhabitants turn into MonstersOfTheWeek from previous ''Kamen Rider'' shows. The conflict of the episode comes when two children try to escape this fate.]]
** Eventually [[spoiler: one of the children learns that the Kamen Riders use the same power as the monsters, but for good. The boy then resolves to become a Kamen Rider himself.]]
* HesBack: [[spoiler:In Episode #31, after spending the entire episode BroughtDownToNormal and in a HeroicBSOD, Haruto's determination resurrects Dragon and unlocks [[SuperMode Infinity Style]]. Haruto proceeds to utterly demolish the Legion Phantom.]]

* ImperfectRitual: White Wizard [[spoiler:with the intention to recreate the Sabbath again to [[ItMakesSenseInContext revive Koyomi]], hijacking Kamen Rider Wizard and the 3 others Kamen Rider Mages and immobilized in four points around the city, but the ritual cost many lives however Nitou (Kamen Rider Beast) appears to stop him, he lose the fight, but use the Hamel Cane to destroy your drive releasing Beast Chimera and eating all Phantoms from human soul, and cancelling the Sabbath]].
* ImprobableInfantSurvival: In #41 we get our first child Gate who reaches splitting point when his Phantom starts reaching out of him... and survives.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Medusa reveals to Mayu that she killed her parents and rubs it in her face, almost sending her to despair and forces Haruto to watch, so ''he'', too, will fall into despair as well. Just when things are about to get worse, the White Wizard shows up and blows her away with an explosion spell. [[spoiler: And an even sweeter deal is that Mayu ''suppresses'' her Phantom, meaning that Medusa's plans just backfired on her; especially since White Wizard is making Mayu his apprentice, which would mean another magician...which would mean that there'd be one ''more'' rider killing off the Phantoms. In short: [[NiceJobFixingItVillain she just created another problem]]]].

* MeleeATrois: #52 ends in a battle between Kamen Riders Wizard and Beast, a bunch of MonstersOfTheWeek from previous ''Kamen Rider'' series, and [[{{Crossover}} the previous Kamen Riders themselves.]] [[spoiler: And then [[Series/KamenRiderGaim Gaim]] [[DynamicEntry drops in.]]]]

** See BeYourself. Rinko thinks Phoenix might not be all bad because he told her how the MonsterOfTheWeek could be thwarted (he left out the part about only telling her because it wouldn't do for Wiseman's own phantom du jour to win after Phoenix's own repeated failures are threatening his place in the pecking order.) She tells him he should leave the others since he's clearly dissatisfied, and he decides to follow her advice... and indulge his BloodKnight tendencies with no regards for the ongoing plan.

** In #21, Rinko's reaction upon learning that [[spoiler: Yugo is ''Phoenix''.]]

** #48 features [[spoiler: Yuuzuru and Yamamoto as Mages. They look exactly the same as Mayu's Mage form but have blue and green visors and accents, respectively.]]
* PocketDimension: Episodes #52-53 takes place in a magic stone that contains one. It's also something of a PlaceBeyondTime, since it sucks in [[spoiler: Nitoh from the past.]]
** SealedEvilInACan: [[spoiler: Amadam claims it contains the souls of defeated MonstersOfTheWeek from previous ''Kamen Rider'' shows, who are apparently reborn as the pocket dimension's inhabitants. There's also two children who want to escape the pocket dimension before they turn into monsters...which would unleash all the other monsters into the real world. As it turns out, the dimension was created to trap Amadam, and he was trying to manipulate one of the children who had the power to help him escape.]]

* PragmaticVillainy: [[spoiler: Related to how both Phoenix and Legion are handled due to their... counterproductive tactics. Phoenix is kept from direct involvement at first because he had once beaten a Gate to death while attempting to drive them to despair, and Legion is chained up because he had a nasty tendency to destroy Underworlds. They're only allowed to engage Haruto when their methods are less of an impediment than letting Haruto stick around.]]

* RealityIsOutToLunch: #52 and #53 take place in a PocketDimension where both space and time are broken. For example, Haruto gets dragged from a house and suddenly appears in the middle of a bridge over water, with no house in sight. Then he gets dragged back, suddenly appearing in the house after reaching the middle of the bridge. Also, [[spoiler: most of the inhabitants become MonstersOfTheWeek from previous ''Kamen Rider'' shows once they reach a certain age.]] And see AndYouWereThere.

** It looked like Beast sometimes getting an EpicFail by rolling a one on his [[CoolSword Dice Saber]] would be this...until episode 33. [[spoiler: He was fighting against the Bogy Phantom, which has the ability to manipulate luck, so naturally he rolled a one for the Falco Saber Strike...but because he was fighting for the sake of his friend, he was able to supercharge it, causing the one falcon he sent out to suddenly grow, thereby negating the bad luck that made him roll a one.]]

** Sugar-loving Haruto is rivals with Kousuke the mayonnaise addict. Sounds pretty much like [[{{Manga/Gintama}} Gintoki and Hijikata]].

* TotalEclipseOfThePlot: A magic ritual under one such eclipse is what kickstarts the story. [[spoiler: The White Wizard creates a magical one near the end.]]

* WhamEpisode: Both #14 and #15 in which it is revealed that the Wiseman is making the magic stones that are use to make Wizard's Dragon Styles rings [[spoiler: and he is intentionally letting them get stolen]].
** Subverted in #27. [[spoiler: Neither riders were able to stop Mayu from becoming a phantom on time, but she got to overcome the phantom herself.]]

** #39 has [[spoiler: The White Wizard's identity revealed and his intentions made a little clearer... [[EvilMentor And they're not good from the looks of things]].]] This is a bit debatable, since [[spoiler: the White Wizard turns out to be [[StrangerBehindTheMask a guy introduced in the previous episode.]]]] But episode #40 has [[spoiler: Mayu return as Kamen Rider Mage]] and #41 has [[spoiler: the VictimOfTheWeek resisting his Phantom, giving him the potential to become a wizard...and when he decides not to be one, the White Wizard abducts him.]]
** #43 reveals that Koyomi [[spoiler: is Fueki's daughter!]]
** The biggest whammy is #47, hands down. It turns out [[spoiler: Fueki, the White Wizard, and Wiseman are all the same person. He reveals this by backstabbing Medusa as Wiseman, transforming into Fueki, then becoming the White Wizard, all in front of Haruto, Nitoh, and Mayu. Yes, [[Series/KamenRiderFourze it's been done before,]] but did you really expect them to pull it again this soon?]]

** The White Wizard gives a truly worrisome one in #31: "This has become a nuisance." in response to Haruto gaining Infinity Style. The reason why this is so significant is revealed in ep 47

** In episode 34, [[CloudCuckoolander Gremlin]], of all people, gives one. [[spoiler: He says that he's the only Phantom who has managed to retain his human side.]]
