His wife looks at them pointedly and says she's going to go pick up some eggs and will be back in half an hour.

She says that doctors originally thought it was lupus, and then claimed it was from her smoking, and that Dominik got the genetic disease from only his father. In the real world, cystic fibrosis affects the body's ability to digest, not just the lungs and would likely be picked up as such within a few weeks of a CF patient's birth, and requires both parents to be carriers of the gene or one parent to have the illness.

It's nighttime in Brussels, and an a plane in getting ready to depart on a redeye flight to Moscow. While the first few passengers trickle onto the plane a jittery man begins overhearing stories of mysterious deaths on the other side of the world. He proceeds to swiftly disarm a nearby guard and barge into the plane. Once inside, he demands the co-pilot fly west because [[ApocalypseHow the suns rays now wipe out any and all life they hit]]. The co-pilot and the helicopter pilot who [[FallingIntoTheCockpit fell into the cockpit]] are naturally not quick to believe the man screaming and waving a gun at people, or at least they are until they approach an Icelandic airport and witness the entire place is in utter chaos and disarray. The crew soon realize that the hijacker was telling the truth and are [[TeethClenchedTeamwork forced to cooperate]] to keep flying westwards at all costs.
