* ParentalFavoritism: Sofia was Ignacio's favorite while Andrea was Cayetana's favorite. Which left poor Irina left out, becoming the family's BlackSheep. But she seems to be Felipe's favorite due to their similar personality.

** Out the six main characters is probably Andrea who changed the most. ** Arguably the novela's best example is Samuel Gallardo and Andrea Del Junco. They clearly have a lot of sexual tension/attraction with deep romantic feelings between them. But due to her pride and prejudices (towards low-class people like Samuel) and his blindness and possibly his insecurity, they don't admit their feelings. Ironically EveryoneCanSeeIt, even their respective former LoveInterest (who often act jealous about it). They have a cat and mouse dynamic and are often arguing in their interactions. Special notes: Samuel often stares at her lips and Andrea often accuses him to trying to seduce her. TheyDo only after a couple of hundred of episodes. Even after becoming an OfficialCouple, they still have their bickerings but nothing conflictual.

** Arturo and Sofia during a short time in the beginning but they quickly fall in UnresolvedSexualTension until TheyDo.

* WillTheyOrWontThey: The three main couples during the show mainly due to drama, family story and prejudices. Ulises/Patricia , Pablo/Veronica as well. All TheyDo at differents times.

** Flavio and Irina. Both are the most jealous of their respective trio such as TheId. They enjoy life and party and they are respectively ChickMagnet and DudeMagnet and they know it. And both work as FashionModel during the story.

* BadassInCharge: As good examples, the three Gallardo brothers when they became rich, Lieutenant Fernandez as a FairCop. As neutral examples, Andrea as the administrator of the Del Junco Ranch and Cayetana the owner of the Del Junco lands and matriarch of her family. As villain examples, Emilio, Leonardo and Isadora are this.

* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: PlayedWith, Patricia uses makeup to cover the abuse she suffers from Emilio and Ulises. PlayedStraight in the finale, where she gets shot in the stomach, but in a few weeks later is seen doing her dance routine with BareYourMidriff looking none worse for the wear.

* FiveManBand: An evil example. In the Emilio's team, Emilio is TheLeader (a powerful businessman) , Ulises is TheDragon (the NumberTwo if it's not Isadora) , Nicholson and Malkovitch are TheBrute (the muscles of the team) , Isadora is TheEvilGenius ( [[TheChessmaster the most cunning]]) and Roger is TheDarkChick ( the one is the most human). Although Ulises and Isadora tend to trade places according to the story's progress (Isadora was TheDragon before Ulises).

* ArmorPiercingSlap: A common trope of {{Telenovela}}, this happens a lot to many character, but usually Cayetana is doing the slapping to whomever dares talks back to her.

* GoodPeopleHaveGoodSex: The good guys all have healthy passionate sex lives while a lot of the villains are either violent in bed or are rapists.

** Have Horacio/Andrea/Samuel/Patricia because [[EveryoneCanSeeIt both of tips know]] that Andrea and Samuel are attracted to each other despite their [[BelligerentSexualTension arguments]] and [[ShesNotMyGirlfriend denials]]. Ulises is (also in a LoveTriangle with Patricia and Samuel) can takes Horacio's place.
