* As for why Elzam von Branstein holds the trope, it started out because he was a video game boss character. When he ended up switching sides, his theme's priority couldn't be reset, thus letting his theme take precedence over all others, including other Final Bosses. And thus the Trombe Override phenomenon was born. Of course, this has eventually become downplayed, with other themes being able to override Trombe!, but him kicking off the meme allowed him to stay.

** It was the threat of the Inspectors who arrived a few years afterward that brought Elzam out of hiding under the disguise of Rätsel Feinschmecker. Nearly everyone knew who he really was, especially his own brother Rai, but it was easier to explain a new mercenary aid than explain the harboring of a wanted man. After the whole affair with the Inspectors, the Shadow-Mirror, and the Einst, he, Sanger, and the Kurogane would disappear once more.

** Because of his "power" over all things technology, he's also given a wary eye by the Franchise/Pokemon trainers and gods with partners in the Pantheon, since who knows if he can lock their Pokémon inside their Poké Balls, thus giving them a disadvantage.

* Reacts poorly when challenged to Pokémon battles. He predates Pokémon and friendly Mon battles by several years, and every other demon summoner he met before his ascension wanted to either kill or mug him. The first time he was challenged to a Pokémon battle, he mistook it for another random attack. In subsequent challenges, he had to be informed that the Trainer does not participate directly into the battle, it is illegal to assault the opposing Trainer, there can only be a certain number of Pokémon on the field at one time, and that it is not normal to request a Pokémon or computer part from the loser. He has not been banned, but the Pokémon League has decided that anyone who wants to engage him in a Pokémon battle must state clearly that they want a Pokémon battle instead of just locking eyes.

* Due to his respect with Music/JAMProject, he will always let their epic theme blare on instead of overriding them.
* Due to his status, Overdeities are capable of overriding his theme song, but Elzam kept the throne because only he is capable of making it into an art form. The other way to 'override' him is just to use giant-ass speakers when playing your music. But otherwise, everything gets overridden by "Trombe!". Of course, imagine if Elzam just used giant-ass speakers to play "Trombe!"... even the giant-ass speakers music will get overriden. Good thing Elzam has never used that kind of method, and probably never would.
* He often makes passes to the House of Food as he is known as one damn great gourmet. Hell, he can withstand Kusuha's health drink and name every of its ingredients!
** But he isn't without weakness, as, even if he's able to name every of its ingredients, Mystery Food X undoes him every time.
* There has been chatter that Elzam plans to team up with Guile to make a mash-up song that would not only override every other song in existence, but go perfect with any situation. Elzam quickly shot down that suggestion.
* Has made an enemy of the Nerima Daikon Brothers after his overriding music interrupted the band's performance. To his credit he has been trying to make amends for this, to little success.

* As a self-proclaimed templar of all that is good and honorable, Sanger only associates himself with Good-aligned deities, and openly challenges anyone with an Evil alignment to battle.
* Is willing to overlook the fact that his name is rarely transcribed the same way twice, as he has more important things to focus on.
* Has an alternate universe Clone called Wodan Ymir, who, after a very SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome of a sword fight that shook the very boundaries of the multiverse from the sheer force of the badassery, forced Haruhi to rewrite the universe so Wodan was merely an Avatar of Sanger, to prevent the existence of everything from exploding due to the extreme awesome emitted by TWO Sangers.
* Kyosuke Nanbu Bright Slapped Sanger out of some serious emo over his ability to serve his role in the Pantheon at one point, and hence Sanger and he regard each other with great respect. Bright Noa later heard of this event and was greatly pleased.
* Minsc considers him best buds as they share a mutual dislike for evil and tenacity to smite them or kick them in the butt. Sanger was amused to have such weird acquaintance, but as long as Minsc has the heart of good, he's cool with him.
* Some GUAE mooks attempted to assassinate him while he's out of the Dygenguard. The poor schmucks instead got cleaved with a human-sized Zankantou, which was gifted to him by a friend. Thus it's been declared that attempting to attack Sanger on foot is a bad idea.
* He was once mistaken as The Dark King due to his voice and was attacked by both Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro. Sanger was quick to straighten up the misunderstanding, but in the same time, he's impressed enough with their teamwork that they became friends, with Sanger noting that if there's the Pantheon's "Bash Sisters", it'd be them. That, and somehow he felt that there's something familiar with Honoka's voice with how he attained his human-sized Zankantou. Regardless, Sanger assured them that the Dark King is... just another evil that will be cleaved/smote.
** Said voice belonged to Kaguya Nanbu, the person who gifted him his human-sized Zankantou, who made her way into the Pantheon, and with it they renewed their "friendship"... even if Sanger is wondering where her partner Haken Browning stumbled. He's not affected with those bazongas of hers, for the power of his will is great.
* Is a member of a stable group called the Mighty Majors. Alongside that, he's silently known, along with Kenshiro, as one of the 'Evil-Slaying Duo' with Sanger taking the business of smiting evil that is too big in size (like if they're (in) giant robots).
* It was known that before his ascension and becoming friends with him, he considered Tetsuya Tsurugi his most worthy opponent. Now that Tetsuya rose, the two agreed to resume their friendship to smite evil wherever they come. Don't worry, Elzam is coming along too.

After the whole affair with the Inspectors, the Shadow-Mirror, and the Einst, he, Sanger, and the Kurogane would disappear once more.

* Technically, he also appeared in the Alpha timeline, though only under his alias Rätsel

* Rätsel Feinschmecker, which is supposed to mean "The Mysterious Gourmet" in German (although correctly translated, it would be "riddle gourmet"; the correct translation would be "Rätselhafter Feinschmecker").

* The Sinner's former situation reminds Agatha of the inmates of Castle Heterodyne prior to her inheriting of it. At least sometime after she managed to claim the Castle for her own, either its (surviving) prisoners were freed unconditionally at some point during Klaus' siege of Mechanicsburg or joined up as her minions.
* Due to how HumanResources are a premium in their world, they despise those who abuse them, such as Bondrewd. There's also the fact that he experiments on children, unlike how the Sinners rescue Citizens who then help make items for them. In a similar vein, they oppose ADVENT as they’re perfectly willing to trick humanity into becoming more of their Mooks and bodies for their dying Elders.

** After the chaos was quelled, during the cleanup operation, Jensen was found, his friends were retrieved, and he was given the Pantheon sales pitch. Given how bad off his world is, even with the more dangerous forces here, Jensen decided to take the offer. Although he's less than amused given that his lodgings are at the House of Crime and Transgressions. At least there are a number of good guys in his Hall despite that.
* He has special enmity for Needles Kane and 2012!Dollface given he had fought them and their gangs in the tournament he had been shanghaied into, particularly the former after his car got chewed up and thrown away by the Dark Tooth. * Sympathizes with Katniss, who has also been forced into playing a DeadlyGame, but worse since it was government-sanctioned and that even the Capitol's kids loved it. When questioned about Sylvester Stallone, Jensen stated he has nothing but respect for the guy, as even if Sly was a more villainous version of Machine Gun Joe, it still wasn't the one he raced against.
* Balked at the Sinner's bid for freedom in that they had a million years to work off by doing dangerous tasks. There's also the state of their world, which makes Jensen's much better in comparison. Due to the face that he's dressed up similarly to Jason Voorhees during races, he's almost gotten in trouble from those who almost thought he was him, and definitely when the killer went after him one night, and he found himself in the Houses of Life and Death later.
