* BigBad: Sciro Caligula, apparently, though the mysterious [[TinTyrant AnOther]] has a large role in several characters' backstories.

* ObviouslyEvil: Subverted with Sciro Caligula. Despite his last name being the nickname for infamous Roman emperor [[EmperorCaligula Gaius Julius Caesar Germanicus]] and arguably being only slightly more well adjusted then him, Sciro manages to keep up a good image and hide his insanity and thirst for senseless violence under the guise of [[WellIntentionedExtremist trying to ensure a strong Britannia]]. The same could be said to a lesser extent for [[ANaziByAnyOtherName Rahan Dekerrs]].

* TookaLevelinBadass: In the original series Shirley Fenette was just a regular if somewhat spoiled teenager girl who couldn't do much more then hold a gun before her hands started to shake like she had Parkinson's. After [[spoiler:rediscovering her father was dead, realizing her memories had been tampered with due to being unable to remember important but unpleasant memories from her childhood, and discovering the letter she wrote detailing Lelouch as Zero]] Shirley forged a fake identity, joined the military, persevered through beatings and hazing given to her by fellow recruits, became one of the few survivors of [[ANaziByAnyOtherName Rahan Dekerrs's]] TrainingFromHell, and has since survived being the test pilot for an unstable, death trap of a prototype Knightmare. All while keeping it a secret from her friends, family, and Lelouch.

* ANaziByAnyOtherName: Rahan Dekerrs - lets see, extremely casual approach to killing, uses a white version of an SS Obersturmbannfuhrer outfit, puts trainees through a withering program [[spoiler: redesigned to kill your empathy]], and sides with the SocialDarwinist Legitimate Britannia group. Though he doesn't believe in racial superiority himself - he's all about Social Darwinism, regardless who the weak and strong are.

* ThePiratesWhoDon'tDoAnything: Subverted by the pirates themselves, save for when there isn't anything for them to do.

* HuskyRusskie: Artyom Reznov definitely counts. Despite being not tall, speaking without an accent, and Russia being drastically different in the Code Geass verse ''(no communism, no soviet union, no Lenin or Stalin, est)'' Artyom drinks during (or at least before) fights and seems to have a prominent love for heavy duty weaponry specifically his custom Panzer Hummel "Grizzly". Ironically, the Grizzly is a bear only found in North America or in the Code Geass universe, the Britannian Homeland.

* Flawed Prototype: The Lancelot Club. Built using spare parts from the Lancelot and experimental components with a Sutherland as the base, the Lancelot Club was intended as a budget version of the original Lancelot. Despite coming off as an initial success, having performance capabilities only 20% less then the original Lancelot, the 'flawed' part of the prototype became apparent very quickly as the Club proved to have incredibly sensitive controls and was prone to a ridiculous amount of technical failures to the point Suzaku was convinced it was determined to kill whoever piloted it.

* SuperSoldier: Two of them as of now - Bezide Ascato, a naive newcomer with powerful "instincts" and a strong machine, and Leona Rayven, who, going by character description, was wrecked by the method that turned her into a supersoldier.

Code Geass: Blood Stained Alternatives is an ongoing play-by-post roleplay forum organized by Crosswire on Fanfiction.net. It takes place in an alternative universe where (SPOILERS START HERE) Lelouch's Geass didn't go wild and Euphemia was never sent on a Geass induced homicidal rampage to kill all of the Japanese. (SPOILERS END HERE). The Special Administration Zone was established and the Black Knights got ready to disarm. Everything looked like it would turn out for the best until an attack by militant Britannians against the formation of the Zone stormed in loaded to bear and began slaughtering Japanese civilians.

The attack and the ones following it ruined the Japanese's faith in the project and what little faith they had left in Britannia. The Zone collapsed, Euphemia became near catatonic with grief, intense debate on the treatment of Numbers amongst Britannia's wealthy and power caused the creation of two political factions, and the Black Knights assault on the Tokyo Settlement didn't occur.

Cut to eleven weeks later and Britannia is on the brink of Civil War between the Conservatives and the Legitimates. The Black Knights have given up any idea of a peaceful solution and Lelouch plots to ignite and use a civil war in Britannia to further his goals of revenge.

All the while Euphemia struggles to keep her sanity over the guilt of her failure, Nunnally finds herself neglected by her brother, and Shirley begins to lie to her friends over the fact (SPOILERS START HERE) she joined the military (SPOILERS END HERE)

Everyone thought the Zone would solve everything, but it turns out the smoothest path is the rockiest just around the bend…
