* BrotherSisterIncest: When Homer opens up his wedding business to wed anyone with anything, one of the couples coming to be wed are Cletus and Brandine, who Homer points out are brother and sister.

* DisguisedInDrag: Veronica, the woman Patty is engaged to, turns out to actually be a straight man dressed like a woman, whom lied his way onto the LPGA tour, and then fell in love with Patty. Marge find this out before the wedding, seeing "Veronica" use the bathroom with the toilet seat up and shaving himself while singing "Dude Looks Like a Lady."

* SpeakNowOrForeverHoldYourPeace: When Homer reached this line during Parry's wedding, Marge spoke up. Patty thought it was because she disapproved of her sexuality, but it was really because Marge didn't want Patty to be hurt because her fiancé was really a man.

* EqualOpportunityOffender: While episode in general is pro-Gay marriage and takes it shoots at the oponents, most LGBT characters are still prestented as stereotypes (effenimate gays in particular)and Homers subplot seams to be a nod to more conservative point of view, as after Homer marries every same-sex couple in town he starts giving weddings to animals and humans wanting to marry objects, making Rev. Lovejoy look sane and proving his point. As Kent Brockman puts it "marriage became so meaningless anyone can marry anything". It also worth noting that Homer became interested in helping gay people AFTER he learned he can profit out of them.
