Gleb arrives in the hospital with obvious hangover and heavy smell of alcohol, and now must somehow hide it from Bykov. Lobanov suggests to use garlic. It works, but now Gleb has heavy garlic smell. More so: Bykov demands to know why Gleb consumed so much garlic, and when Gleb uses "illness" as his reason, Bykov orders to isolate him in one of the wards and assigns Lobanov to "treat" him. Kisegach soon finds Gleb here, and nearly breaks his cover story (even after she recognises a smell of garlic), after which she delivers his clinic history (filled to the brim with complete nonsense made out by Lobanov just for fun) to Rita. At least she didn't read it... yet. But Rita reads it herself, and confronts interns about it. She agrees to keep it hidden that they would do a cleaning job for her. However, they quickly gives up and proceeds to drink beer instead -- which results in them being busted by Kisegach. She gets angry, but agrees to cover for them if they would stay away from alcohol for the next month.

Kupitman insists that Bykov must fire Polina, under the first excuse he can find. When his initial attempts to press her fails, Bykov just gives her seemingly impossible time limit to deal with her current patient... only for her to succeed with much time left to spare. Bykov tries to just fire Polina out of the blue, but she notices a smell of alcohol and calls him out on it, which only makes Bykov look like a fool. Since Kupitman by that point stopped caring wether Polina would stay or not, Bykov calmly accepts defeat. But Polina gets disappointed by learning that he's of "barfing, but not biting" type, decides to quit on her own.

Bykov feels offended by Polina's words -- what if he indeed became a pathetic loser? He just desperately needs to shout on someone -- and then Rita realises that they have interns nearby... so, why not just shout on them instead? Polina remembers that she forgot her phone, and returns just in time to see this and change her mind. Bykov shouts on her, too, but she doesn't mind.

** Polina is late on work on a first working day? Nah, she arrived earlier than anyone else, already chose the patient and started working.
** Bykov tries to press Polina about her starting working on her own initiative, without his order, which she counters by pointing out that Bykov himself was late for fifteen minutes, and she simply grew tired of waiting him. He then tries to press her on considering herself the smartest one for choosing the "most interesting case", only to read a clinical history and reluctantly agreeing. He then simply imposes a time limit on her, which was deliberately set to be impossibly short (only two hours). He also additionally forbids her from using computer when she asks, stating her terrible handwriting, simply to add insult into injury. Result? She succeeds after only a half of this time, wasting another half an hour on simply trying to find Bykov. This one actually impresses Kupitman enough for him to forgive Polina, simply for her finally kicking Bykov's ass. This, however, causes Bykov to hate her enough to continue attempts to fire her.

Phil was pressed by his patient to "examine" her friend and "consult" her... only for Rita to bust them. ** Bykov tried tries to press Polina about her starting work working on her own initiative, without his order, which she countered counters by pointing out what that Bykov himself was late on for fifteen minutes, and she simply grew tired of waiting him. Gleb arrived in the hospital with obvious hangover and heavy alcohol breath, and now must somehow hide it from Bykov. Lobanov suggested to use garlic. It worked, but now Gleb has heavy garlic smell. More so: Bykov demanded to know why Gleb consumed so much garlic, and when Gleb used "illness" as his reason, Bykov demanded to isolate him in one of the wards and assigned Lobanov to "treat" him. Kisegach soon found Gleb here, and nearly busted his cover story (even after she recognised smell of garlic), after which she delivered his clinic history (filled to the brim with complete bullshit made out by Lobanov just for fun) to Rita. At least she didn't read it... yet.

Kupitman insists what Bykov must fire Polina, under first excuse he can find. After his initial attempts to press her failed, Bykov just gave her seemingly impossible time limit to deal with her current patient... only for her to succeed with much time left to spare.

Phil's patient turns out to have rather impressive breasts. So impressive, in fact, Phil only realised what he's doing in the middle of groping her. He managed to salvage situation by stating to be former plastic surgeon and complimenting good quality of her implants. Now, she invited her friends to "consult" with Phil.

Rita read Gleb's "clinic history" and confronted Gleb and Semyon about it. She only agreed to keep it hidden on condition what they would do cleaning job for her. But they quickly gave up and go to drink beer instead.

Phil was pressed by his patient to "examine" her friend and "consult" her... only for Rita to bust them. She called him out on it, to which he pointed out just how easy it to arouse a man who had no sex for two months. Even after that, Phil continued his "carrier" of "plastic surgeon", to Rita irritation.

Bykov tried to just fire Polina out of the blue, but she noticed smell of alcohol and called him out on it, which only made him look like fool; since Kupitman no longer cares wether Polina would stay or not, Bykov calmly accepted defeat. But Polina accused Bykov of being "barfing, but not biting" type and decided to leave by herself.

Kisegach finally busted Gleb drinking beer and learned about his treachery; she only agreed to cover for him if he would avoid any alcohol for next month (together with Semyon). Meanwhile, even after being busted, Phil continued his "carrier" of "plastic surgeon", to Rita irritation.

Bykov was deeply hurt by Polinas' words -- what if he really just become pathetic loser? He just desperately needs to shout on someone -- and then Rita realised what they have interns nearby... so, why not just shout on them instead? Polina remembered what she forgot her phone, and returned just in time to see this and change her mind. She shouted on her, too, but she didn't mind.

!! This episode provides examples of:
* TheAlcoholic: Kisegach accused her son of becoming this when she busted him drinking beer (this is when he was presumed ill to avoid doing work), and when he asked to not reveal this to Bykov, she insisted on him and Lobanov (who was presented, too) to avoid any alcohol for full following month (she would check them everyday).
* ArmorPiercingSlap: When Kisegach busted "sick" Gleb drinking beer with Semyon (and Gleb tried to claim what "hot beer" was his medicine), she slapped him so hard he fell on the other side of the bed.
* Blackmail: Rita found out about Gleb's and Semyon's plan and used it to blackmail them into doing work for her.
* BlatantLies: Supposedly "sick" Gleb drinks beer with his fiend? It's actually his treatment method -- hot beer! For bonus points, beer is not even hot. This infuriated Kisegach enough for her to slap him so hard, he fell from the bed.
* BluntMetaphorsTrauma: Phil mistook Bykov's phrase "(to) crumple tits" ("мять титьки") as him being aware of Phil's screwup and mocking him in this way before punishing, and nearly asked him how he learned about it. Rita stopped him at last moment and then explained to Phil what this phrase means "wasting time on doing nothing", and so Bykov was just interested why Phil isn't working.
* BuxomIsBetter: Phil's patient has very impressive breasts (due to implants she used). Phil was "hypnotised" by them to the point he only realised what he did in the middle of groping her. He managed to save his grace by lying what he used to be plastic surgeon back in USA, in which she believed.
* TheDreaded: Bykov having this reputation was a reason why Polina actually decided to become his intern; she expected him being harsh, but effective steel-willed boss who would force everyone to obey his orders.
