Today is Lobanov's birthday... first birthday without Olga. He would prefer if Gleb would not speak about it near him. But now everyone "congratulates" him (either genuinely or mockingly): Bykov, Lyuba, Varya, Phil and finally Kupitman. While he was busy with work, Olga remembered about their tradition: she always gifted Semyon with home-breed breakfast with secret message addressed to him, which awaked memories of good old times. Meanwhile, Gleb organised everyone to provide Lobanov with ''real'' party for once (all their previous attempts to "gift" him resulted in fiasco). In the end, Olga even visited Semyon in his apartments, alone, only in new shirt she prepared for Semyon. This resulted in... you know. It seems, his friends' party would go without him.
Varya is unsure how her relationship with David would proceed now. She asked Lyuba, Kisegach and then Bykov what to do, and all of them tell her to just ask David directly; she rejected Lyuba because she "had only very simple men, while David is special", rejected Kisegach because she is "too old to be competent in such questions", and Bykov just tell her what he doesn't give a crap (but she still may try and ask David directly).
