One of interns must attend work next day -- on Sunday -- to check the test results of Bykov's patient and either resume or cancel antibiotics. Gleb and Semyon finds the excuses to avoid this... but Phil immediately says that he has nothing which can prevent him from working. But then he catches them and calls them out on outright lying to Bykov, because their "important deeds" are beer and soccer match. He decides to slack off by himself, with a "cover story" being... heart issues. Since they received all his patients, Gleb and Semyon gets outraged, and presses Phil into telling everything to Bykov. When he refuses, they do it themselves, forcing Phil to switch Bykov's anger back to them by lying about one of his fathers' death (and they mocking him), which outrages them even more, because Bykov removed a part of their salary to pay for Phil's ticket to USA. Except... Phil never told him that, he just gave up and admitted his lie; everything about Phil's parents was ''Bykov's'' initiative, and Phil is just as outraged as them! Bykov agrees to return them their money on condition that they managed to find the five valid reason each why he should do it (their death from hunger doesn't count, he would accept it).

Varya fell in love with David... and Bykov considers this to be a perfect opportunity to match her with David and force her out of his sight because she would be busy with children; one dumbass less for him to deal with. He just needs to press David a little more so he ''would'' marry Varya. Unfortunately, his efforts, in the combination with the "surprise" he previously prepared for Kisegach (a medal with silly and rather vulgar sex-related joke on reverse side) made ''Kisegach'' believe that Bykov is planning to propose to ''her''; she's not amused when she finds out. Meanwhile, Varya tries to make David like her more, by pretending to be a fan of his favourite soccer club; but due to doing poor research, she pretends to be a fan of the ''rival'' club. Fortunately for Varya, David decides to "educate" her and show why his club is superior, so all Varya has to do is play along.

* MyNewGiftIsLame: Bykov has a surprise for Kisegach -- a medal with silly (and rather vulgar) sex-related joke. But, because David accidentally gave her just enough information to know that there is a surprise, but backed off before revealing that he doesn't know for sure what it is, she expects that he plans to propose to her today (again, based on David' off-hand comment about it before he even mentioned surprise). She asks several other people, but no one could debunk her suspicions (in fact, they only makes them worse). You may imagine her disappointment when she sees [[{{Troll}} the real present]].
* OutOfFocus: Varya is not presented in this episode.

** Gleb and Semyon are slacking off, leaving Phil to be the only one to do all work by himself. What's worse, they outright lied to Bykov. Phil gives them an ultimatum: either they stop here and now, or he would start slacking by himself (which would ultimately hurt them all). This threat fails to convince them, because Phil is a known BadLiar, and if he fails even once, it would ruin any credibility he had before.
