Has Two Daddies disambiguated

* GayBestFriend: After seeing one CampStraight patient, Sophia reveals to Lyuba that she is interested in having a gay friend... because "it's like having a male and female friend simultaneously": you may go on shopping with them, watch melodramas together, and they know fashion even better than many girls. Also, they would know about local prestigious parties, and would help to defend from horny freaks. Lyuba (if only to get rid of Sophia) suggests to ask [[HasTwoDaddies Phil]], as "best specialist" in this sphere.

Hospital must deal with Raisa -- a ''very'' important (and just as insufferable) woman from ministry, and obviously they can't let Bykov near her, given his hostility to "[=VIPs=]". But who else it could be? Gleb is Kisegach's son, which adds additional risks if their "VIP" patient would find out. Phil just got a vacation. And twins are too shy (they can't speak coherently even in Kisegach's presence!). Fortunately, Bykov has another idea: this insufferable woman can be assigned to their least conflicting intern -- Alexei, while Bykov would act as a backup in case he would encounter medicine-related difficulties. Alexei proceeds with Raisa's examination, only to realised that if he can win her affection, he can exploit it to win something for Torzhok -- but she threatens to kick him out of the hospital or even outright medicine unless he shuts up; he barely avoids snapping at her. Lyuba reveals to Lyosha that she knows Raisa for a long time -- and knows ''why'' she became like this; it all started when she was divorced by her husband. Alexei decides to use this information to get along with her, by being more... ''gentle'' with her. This works, but she then decides to just seduce him. Alexei feels confused, but agrees, as Raisa promised to help Torzhok's hospital. But she doesn't stop at that, and demands more and more "attention" from Alexei. Alexei gets tired of this, and starts hiding (with Raisa searching for him), but gets caught by Bykov. Bykov and Kisegach are deeply shocked by the sheer idiocy of the situation, but what's done is done. Bykov still decides to milk the situation for all its worth and gain something for their hospital, too -- which Alexei reluctantly does... but now he needs two-three days-off.

Phil goes to Kupitman, who must sign up the permission for him to go on vacation. But Kupitman, who's on the brink of insanity due his abstinence, following Bykov's advice, decides to concentrate on finding a woman to distract himself, and ignores whatever Phil's trying to say to him, despite it endangering Phil's plans (and them agreeing on this upfront). Sophia then asks Phil wether he knows any gays she can befriend; he knows none. While Phil was away, Kupitman actually gets visited by one of his lovers, but accidentally snaps on her and ruins everything; Bykov suggests him another way -- jut yell on someone who can't yell back, like Phil. When Phil tries to ask Kupitman again, Kupitman yells on him, insults him, tears apart the document and gives him night shifts for all weekends, just out of bad mood. That's when Phil remembers Sophia's request... Sophia arrives just when Kupitman, to deal with stress, puts cosmetic mask on his face. Sophia starts assuring him that while she knows his "secret", she thinks nothing about it and would accept him anyway. Delighted, Kupitman decides to open his alcohol stash -- and only then realises that Sophia talks about something unrelated... and he just revealed his alcoholism to her. But she doesn't mind that, either, not in the last turn because if her parents finds out, she would be force to go back to Kirov. Now much nicer, Kupitman apologises to Phil and agrees to sign up the documents for his vacation.

* ColdTurkeysAreEverywhere: Yet another of Kupitman's lovers, when visits him, decides to drink a little cognac. Kupitman, to keep himself and his fading sanity under control, starts describing details about this bottle's origin (so fast it's barely audible), only to suddenly snap and yell on her, accusing her of being an "alcoholic". This predictably enrages her, forcing her to dump him. This only goes downhill after that.

Hospital must deal with Raisa -- ''very'' important -- and just as insufferable -- woman from ministry, and obviously they can't assign Bykov (it [[BerserkButton wouldn't end well]]). But who else it could be? Gleb is Kisegach's son, which adds additional risks if their "VIP" patient would find out. Phil just got a vacation. And twins are too shy (they can't speak coherently even in Kisegach's presence!). Fortunately, Bykov has another idea: this insufferable woman can be assigned to their least conflicting intern -- Alexei, while Bykov would act as backup in case he would encounter medicine-related difficulties.

After seeing one CampStraight patient, Sophia revealed to Lyuba she is interesting in having gay friend... because "it's like having male and female friend simultaneously". But she knows no one. Lyuba suggested to ask Phil: if someone may suggest such friend, it would be him.

Kupitman is on the brink; a little longer, and he would snap: his office by itself reminds him about cognac, it has... aura. It almost whispers: "drink me... drink me...". Bykov suggested him to find a woman, in attempt to get distracted from booze.

Alexei proceed with Raisa's examination, only to realise what if he can win her affection, he can exploit it to win something for Torzhok -- only for her to threat to kick him out of the hospital or even outright from medicine if he would not shut up. He barely managed to keep his composure to not snap on her.

Phil tried to ask Kupitman to sign up documents so Phil may go on vacation, but Kupitman is too busy to even bother to hear him. Considering what Phil must do it ''immediately'', or risk all his plans being ruined, he is certainly not amused by this.

Turns out, Lyuba knows Raisa for a long time -- and knows ''why'' she became like this; it all started when she was dumped by her husband. Alexei decided to use this information to get along with her, by being more... ''gentle'' with her. This worked... and then she decided to just seduce him. Alexei is confused, but, considering what Raisa agreed to help with Torzhok's hospital (which is in terrible condition), he has nothing to complaint about. However, Alexei's plan worked a bit ''too'' well, because Raisa now keeps demanding more and more sex from him.

Sophia asked Phil about gays he knows. Unfortunately, he knows no one. Meanwhile, Kupitman was visited by one of his women, but due to his sanity being weakened by abstinence, he antagonised her, ruining their relationship. Bykov's plan isn't working! But Bykov suggested yet another way to deal with stress: yell on someone who can't hit back... like Phil.

Alexei started simply hiding from Raisa (who now searches for him), only to being caught by Bykov. Bykov and Kisegach were deeply shocked by whole story, but what's done is done

When Phil tried to ask about vacation again, Kupitman yelled at him, insulted him, teared apart the document and gave him night shifts for all weekends, just out of bad mood . And then Phil remembered about Sophia's request... Sophia arrived just when Kupitman, to deal with stress, put cosmetic mask on his face. She started assuring Kupitman what while she knows his "secret", she thinks nothing about it and would accept him anyway. Delighted Kupitman decided to open his alcohol stash -- and only then he realised Sophia talks about completely unrelated things and he just revealed his alcoholism to her. Fortunately, she not only doesn't mind, she has a reason to keep this secret from her family, or they would take her away to Kirov. Now much, much nicer Kupitman apologised to Phil and even agreed to sign up documents for his vacation.

Meanwhile, Alexei (who was punished with night shift for attempt to avoid "working" for new cardiograph) managed to "obtain" it (and new x-ray machine)... but now needs two day-offs... or better, three.

* {{Gaydar}}: When Sophia asked Phil to help her to find a gay ([[ItMakesSenseInContext long story]]), he "checked" every single even vaguely "gay-like" man in the hospital, but each time it turned up they aren't (with one even having a girlfriend). Then he remembered about his conflict with Sophia's uncle, and said her what ''Kupitman'' is gay.
* BadBoss: This conversation pretty much summarise Bykov's rule under his interns (unfortunately, Kupitman followed this advice):
-->'''Bykov''': '''If you can't yell on patient, yell on your subordinate -- like Phil"''.\\
'''Kupitman''': ''"For what reason?"''\\
'''Bykov''': ''"Who cares? I once yelled at him because weather was bad"''.

* ColdTurkeysAreEverywhere: Yet another of Kupitman's lovers, when visited him, decided to drink a little cognac. Kupitman, to keep himself and his fading sanity under control, started describing details about this bottle's origin (so fast it's barely audible), only to suddenly snap and yell on her, accusing her of being "alcoholic". This predictably enraged her, forcing her to leave (and dump him). This only went downhill after that.
* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: When Sophia learned about Kupitman's alcoholism, she stated two things: first, she thinks if her uncle likes alcohol, no one has right to forbid him, including her; and second, it's in her interests to keep it secret from her parents, too, because they would take her back to Kirov -- and [[PlaceWorseThanDeath she wants nothing do do with Kirov]].
* EveryoneHasStandards: {{Subverted|Trope}}; Bykov showed his disgust at Alexei [[MrsRobinson basically selling his body to improve Torzhok's hospital]]... and then asked Kisegach what they need for their hospital. She understood his intentions and immediately refused, but Bykov immediately ordered Alexei to "work" for new cardiograph for their hospital.
* EyeTake: When Bykov explained Alexei's "[[ThePornomancer plan]]" to Kisegach, it took her almost a full minute to just being able to ''say'' something -- so utterly moronic this situation is.
* FreudianExcuse: According to Lyuba (who knows her for a long time), Raisa used to be normal (or at least tolerable), until she was dumped by her husband. Since then, she became a {{Jerkass}} everyone knows.
* GayBestFriend: After seeing one CampStraight patient, Sophia revealed to Lyuba she is interesting in having gay friend... because "it's like having male and female friend simultaneously": you may go on shopping with them, watch melodramas together, and they know fashion even better than many girls. Also, they would know about local prestigious parties, and would help to defend from horny freaks. Lyuba (if only to get rid of Sophia; she thinks whole idea to be weird, at best) suggested to ask [[HasTwoDaddies Phil]], as "best specialist" in this sphere.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Alexei's plan (being very gentle during her examination to help her to relax) ultimately aroused her enough to provoke her into seducing Lyosha. Then she demanded sex again. And again. And again... While each time she provided Torzhok's hospital with more gifts, Alexei ''isn't'' happy with being Rais'a "sex pet", and after multiple "sessions" started hiding from her.
* InternalReveal: Sophia finally learns what her uncle ''isn't'' teetotaller.
* {{Jerkass}}: Raisa, VIP patient from ministry, is ''very'' hard to deal with due to her haughty and poisonous character (Kisegach thinks she's [[UpToEleven even worse than Bykov]]), meaning only someone with near saint-like patience would deal with her without conflicts -- like Alexei. And even he barely managed to avoid snapping on her.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: Phil lying to Sophia what Kupitman is gay may be slightly cruel, but considering his mean behaviour -- he completely deserves it.
* MrsRobinson: After Alexei, in attempt to calm her down, started very gently examining her, Raisa started arousing and ultimately decided to just seduce Alexei. After this, her [[{{Jerkass}} demeanour]] changed to the best. Unfortunately, now she uses any excuse she could find to repeat it, and he can't risk disappointing her. After several... sessions, Lyosha started hiding from her.
* MistakenForGay: Phil intentionally lied to Sophia about Kupitman's orientation, which resulted in her thinking he is gay for the rest of the episode.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: {{Subverted|Trope}}; at first, Kupitman stated what Bykov's idea only made him feel worse due to [[BadBoss acting like a total asshole to Phil]], but when Bykov didn't believed him, admitted what only thing he cares about right now is [[ColdTurkeysAreEverywhere finding some alcohol]].
* OffTheWagon: After Sophia learned about his alcoholism -- and decided to not report him to her relatives, Kupitman [[StatusQuoIsGod returned to being alcoholic]] (though it would take him another episode to finally get wasted again).
* OneDialogueTwoConversations: Sophia talks about Kupitman's "secret", meaning him being gay (he isn't, it was Phil's [[KickTheSonOfABitch small revenge for Kupitman's previous pettiness]]) and what she thinks there's nothing to be ashamed of -- she would accept him as is; Kupitman think she talks about his alcoholism, and was surprised she's so comfortable with it. GoneHorriblyRight: Alexei's plan (being very gentle during her Raisa examination to help her to relax) ultimately aroused arouses her enough to provoke her into seducing Lyosha. Then she demanded demands sex again. And again. And again... While each time she provided Torzhok's provides Torzhok hospital with more gifts, Alexei ''isn't'' happy with being Rais'a Raisa's "sex pet", and after multiple "sessions" started "sessions", he starts hiding from her.
* InternalReveal: Sophia finally learns what that her uncle ''isn't'' a teetotaller.
* {{Jerkass}}: Raisa, a VIP patient from ministry, is ''very'' hard to deal with due to her haughty and poisonous character (Kisegach thinks that she's [[UpToEleven even ''even worse than Bykov]]), Bykov''), meaning that only someone with near saint-like patience would deal with her without conflicts -- like Alexei. And even he barely managed manages to avoid snapping on her.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: Phil lying to Sophia what Phil, angry at Kupitman is gay may be slightly cruel, but considering for his mean behaviour rude and abusive behaviour, when asked by Sophia [[ItMakesSenseInContext wether he knows any gays]], lies that it's Kupitman, ensuring Kupitman quite an embarrassment.
* MeanBoss: Bykov suggests Kupitman to deal with stress by yelling on subordinates; Kupitman follows this advice.
-->'''Bykov''': If you can't yell on a patient, yell on your subordinate
-- he completely deserves it.
like Phil.\\
'''Kupitman''': For what reason?\\
'''Bykov''': Who cares? I once yelled at him because the weather was bad.
* MrsRobinson: After Alexei, in attempt to calm her down, started very gently examining her, Raisa started arousing and ultimately decided to just seduce Alexei. After this, her [[{{Jerkass}} demeanour]] changed changes to the best.better. Unfortunately, now she uses any excuse she could find to repeat it, and he can't risk disappointing her. After several... sessions, Lyosha started starts hiding from her.
* MistakenForGay: Phil [[KickTheSonOfABitch intentionally lied lies to Sophia about Kupitman's orientation, orientation]], which resulted results in her thinking that he is gay for the rest of the episode.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: {{Subverted|Trope}}; at first, Kupitman stated what states that Bykov's idea only made him feel worse due to [[BadBoss [[MeanBoss acting like a total asshole to Phil]], but when Bykov didn't believed doesn't believe him, admitted what admits that only thing he cares about right now is [[ColdTurkeysAreEverywhere finding some alcohol]].
* OffTheWagon: After Sophia learned learns about his alcoholism -- and decided decides to not report him to her relatives, Kupitman [[StatusQuoIsGod returned returns to being alcoholic]] (though it would take him another episode to finally an alcoholic]], though he doesn't get wasted again).
just yet.
* OneDialogueTwoConversations: Sophia talks about Kupitman's "secret", meaning him [[MistakenForGay being gay (he isn't, it was Phil's [[KickTheSonOfABitch small revenge for Kupitman's previous pettiness]]) gay]], and what that she thinks that there's nothing to be ashamed of -- she would accept him as is; Kupitman think she talks about his alcoholism, and was surprised she's so comfortable with it. Only when Kupitman opened his alcohol stash, he realised she talks ''not'' about alcohol -- and what he just revealed his actual secret himself.

* ThePornomancer: Alexei already was known for randomly and out of nowhere receiving "free" sex -- but this time, his entire plot is consisted in his affair with [[MrsRobinson Raisa]]. He was okay with it at first, not so much after many, ''many'' repeats (and it was not even his idea to begin with!). By the end of episode, he looks just exhausted.
* SanitySlippage: Kupitman starts suffering one due to his abstinence, forcing him to leave his office; according to him, it has "aura", which almost [[HearingVoices whispers to him]]: "drink me... drink me...". Bykov suggested to try Kupitman's other "hobby", women, to get distracted from cognac's "call", but then Kupitman snapped and yelled on one of his lovers when she took his cognac, accusing her of [[HypocriticalHumour being alcoholic]] (which predictably destroyed their relationship).
* WhatWereYouThinking: When Kisegach managed to even proceed the level of Alexei's idiocy, she asked him just ''what'' were he think when he banged such important official and wether he even considered consequences for them all. He didn't, thinking only about Torzhok.

!! This episode provides examples of:
* CoitusEnsues: It started with Alexei trying to help Raisa to relax during examination... and ended with them having sex ([[MrsRobinson with her initiating it]]). In less than a minute of screen-time.
