* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: DDD shoots down Starfire and Raven for flying and tells them that's against the rules for car racing. His [[StrawHypocrite gadgets]] obviously aren't for playing fair either.

* ShoutOut: DDD, his car and his minions look like something Ed "Big Daddy" Roth might have designed.

Added DiffLines:

* NoRulesRacing: Anything seems to go in Ding-Dong Daddy's race. The racers use whatever vehicles they want, take any route they want, and attack each other with abandon. Heck, most of them weren't even part of the race when it started - they just heard about it and joined in partway through.

* BadassBiker: Robin as usual, but here we learn that Red X is just as much one as Robin. Johnny Rancid also is unsurprisingly seen among the villain racers riding his signature bike.

* ChronicallyCrashedCar: Cyborg's T-Car. By the end of the race, one axle and a pair of wheels are about all that's left of it.

to:

* ChronicallyCrashedCar: Cyborg's T-Car. By the end of the race, one axle and a pair of wheels are about all that's left of it. Cyborg casually says he'll build a new one, having done so several times by this point.
* CoolCar: It turns out that many recurring villains have signature vehicles. Too bad Red X had to go and wreck all of them.
* CurbStompBattle: Red X barely gives the villains a chance to give him OhCrap looks before completely demolishing all of their racing vehicles.
** Raven and Starfire easily beat up the busload of wannabe villains when their disguise is revealed. Earlier they inflicted one on two villains in order to get said disguise.

Added DiffLines:

* UngratefulBastard: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. At first Red X sinisterly tells Robin that saving him was a mistake. Almost immediately however, he takes out the rest of the competition so Robin can focus on beating DDD.

Added DiffLines:

* VillainTeamUp: Gizmo rallies all of the villains in the area to participate in the race for Robin's case. None of the minor villains impede each other whatsoever, and presumably would have shared the reward. Robin also accused Red X of helping DDD before being corrected.

Added DiffLines:

* GripingAboutGremlins: DDD has a quartet of gremlin-like creatures who backs him up, either by repairing his hot rod or sabotaging the T-Car. They're a lot more adorable than common depictions of gremlins though.

* VillainsWantMercy: A rare non-life-or-death version - once Robin actually triumphs, Ding Dong Daddy begs for a rematch before passing out.
