* HazyFeelTurn: Even antagonists like ''Lady Caine and Andrew/Hubert'' are seen singing with Rapunzel and the people of Corona toward the end. What this is supposed to indicate is unknown, although the Separatists of Saporia are in handcuffs (Lady Caine and her goons aren't).

* WorldHealingWave: Rapunzel creates one when she takes what's left of the Sundrop and the Moonstone and uses the healing incantation once again, to heal what has been hurt by Zhan Titi's WorldWreckingWave.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Zhan Tiri states that Cassandra and Gothel were failed by their ego, even though she displays a ''lot'' of arrogance herself and was defeated by Rapunzel and Cassandra, whom she dismissed as "nothing".

** Cassandra being EasilyForgiven despite everything she's done just to promote the whole "second chances" lesson can be very divisive. This was a person who has committed something akin to terrorism as well as knowingly assisting an ancient evil all for petty reason, yet suffers no consequence. Back in the first season, Varian committed a minor yet just as back criminal act, and gets sentenced to jail for his crime. The whole thing could be viewed as a DoubleStandard.

* KarmaHoudini: {{Downplayed}}. Despite all the trouble and suffering she caused everyone around her in her bid to kill Rapunzel and all she holds dear, Cassandra never faces the consequences of her actions unlike Varian at the end of Season 1. With that said however, she suffers a ''major'' BreakTheHaughty moment, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone breaks down in tears over her terrible actions and begs Rapunzel to give up on her]], and defeats Zhan Tiri alongside Rapunzel, temporarily dying in the process. Interestingly, IdiotHoudini may also be at play, since Cassandra suffers few repercussions for [[HorribleJudgeOfCharacter blindly trusting Zhan Tiri]] and enabling the means for her freedom.

** At the beginning of the episode, Ariana encourages Rapunzel to break down Cassandra's barriers, but her attempts at appealing to Cassandra's better nature during their fight fail. Ultimately, Zhan Tiri stealing the Moonstone from Cassandra and likening her to Gothel are what trigger her MyGodWhatHaveIDone moment and subsequent HeelFaceTurn.

* {{Irony}}: Eugene warns Varian about the possibility that his father might be under the effects of the Mind Trap, and though he's not happy about it, Varian takes necessary precautions ''just'' in case. Alas, Eugene didn't expect his own father to be mind-controlled as well (as he didn't know about his father's past).

* HeelFaceDoorSlam: After Cassandra finally returns to the good side and helps defeat Zhan Tiri, she is killed by the shockwave of the moon and sun stone fusing. Rapunzel is able to use said stone to bring her back.
* HeelFaceTurn: Cassandra finally finds her way back to the light and helps fight Zhan Tiri, and she also falls into Rapunzel's arms and begs for her forgiveness.

* IKissYourHand: Once again, before she goes to face potentially lethal danger, Rapunzel shares a tender moment with Eugene and kisses his hand.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: Eugene desperately begs his father to fight against the Mind Trap. His words ultimately reach Edmund, who brings his axe down on the stone, freeing the Brotherhood.

Rapunzel has gone through a lot of pain and suffering trying to redeem Cassandra, even if it means endangering everyone else in the kingdom, [[RedemptionRejection only to have them thrown back in her face repeatedly]].

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: After Zhan Tiri traps them and leaves them for dead, Cassandra breaks down in tears over her terrible actions, begging Rapunzel to give up on her, and later feels undeserving to be in Rapunzel and Eugene's hug.

** Cass's betrayal in "Destinies Collide" is retroactively put in a whole new light. In this episode, we actually see what happens when the two powers are combined: the person who does it is ''destroyed'' - shown when Zhan Tiri (who had infused both stones to each of her wrists) is forced to slam them together. If Rapunzel had indeed gone through with combining the power of the Sundrop with the Moonstone as she'd originally planned to, she would've ''died'' doing it. By stealing the Moonstone, Cass unwittingly saved Rapunzel's life!

** In an almost exact parallel to Eugene's death in the original film, Cassandra dies with Rapunzel shedding a tear on her cheek and using the healing incantation to revive her.

** Rapunzel gets to use the healing incantation from the movie once again, to save Cassandra and create a WorldHealingWave to undo the damage done by Zhan Tiri.

* ColorFailure: When Zhan Tiri uses the reverse incantation on all of Corona, the kingdom's vibrant colors become muted.

* DoomedByCanon: The stakes of this special are high enough, and have circumstances where characters who didn't appear in Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding are fair game to kill off, but it's ultimately subverted when Rapunzel uses the combined Moonstone and Sundrop to resurrect ''everyone'', including characters who had only been seen during the series. As for Cassandra, having her [[RedemptionEqualsDeath die defeating Zhan Tiri]] would've been a way to handle her not being present for the wedding, but due to you expecting that, she was not only resurrected but ends up leaving Corona.

* EverybodyLives: Despite all the high stakes in this special, and characters who were not seen during Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding were otherwise expendable, everybody except for Zhan Tiri survives the battle.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Zhan Tiri engineered the conflict between Cassandra and Rapunzel in order to free herself from Limbo, but this resulted in a shard of the Moonstone breaking off, which Rapunzel was able to use to briefly reawaken her powers in order to fight her. Additionally, she's defeated by using the aforementioned magical hair to pull her hands apart, so when Rapunzel suddenly cuts it (with rocks Zhan Tiri called forth), her wrists, and the Sundrop and Moonstone on them, slam into each other, destroying her with her own strength.

** Cass's betrayal in "Destinies Collide" is retroactively put in a whole new light. Had Rapunzel gone through with combining the power of the Sundrop with the Moonstone as planned, the result would've been a deadly BOOM! In this episode, we actually see the two powers combined, and Zhan Tiri (who had infused both stones to her wrists) is destroyed. So by stealing the Moonstone, Cass unwittingly saved Rapunzel's life.
** This also means that by manipulating Cassandra into betraying Rapunzel, ''Zhan Tiri'' has, by proxy, saved Rapunzel's life. And ensured her own demise.

* HistoryRepeats: It's revealed that, just like with Rapunzel and Cassandra, Demanitus and Zhan Tiri were [[WeUsedToBeFriends friends and partners]] before Zhan Tiri grew hungry for the power of the Sun Drop and Moonstone, and knowing Zhan Tiri's [[{{Sadist}} sadistic glee]] in the pain of others and her manipulations of Cassandra against her former friends, she might even have been invoking this intentionally to cause Rapunzel pain. That said, Cassandra eventually realizes her mistakes while Zhan Tiri is unrepentant to the end.

** A lighter example occurs with Varian. He wears his Season 3 outfit in the snow, which probably should have caused him to be somewhat chilly, but he doesn't appear bothered, even more considering he had a [[{{Understatement}} bad]] experience with snow in "Queen for a Day".

* HistoryRepeats: It's revealed that, just like with Rapunzel and Cassandra, Damanitus and Zhan Tiri were [[WeUsedToBeFriends friends and partners]] before Zhan Tiri grew hungry for the power of the Sun Drop and Moonstone, and knowing Zhan Tiri's [[{{Sadist}} sadistic glee]] in the pain of others and her manipulations of Cassandra against her former friends, she might even have been invoking this intentionally to cause Rapunzel pain. That said, Cassandra eventually realizes her mistakes while Zhan Tiri is unrepentant to the end.

* ShadowArchetype: We come to learn that Zhan Tiri and Damanitus [[WeUsedToBeFriends used to be friends]]. As treacherous as Cassandra's been thus far, Zhan Tiri is a reflection that she could've been a whole lot more bitter, a whole lot more ambitious and even more [[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk dishonorable]] if she had followed her footsteps a little further.
