* AnAesop: Unconventional families can raise children just as well as traditional ones.

* MilhollhandRelationshipMoment: Connie assumes her parents would distrust Steven for coming from a non-traditional family. Turns out they don't even care about the gems being super-powered aliens, and pretty instantly taking a liking to their parenting style.
