* CallBack: The elderly Mahkents [[Recap/Stargirl2020S1E09Brainwave once again]] make reference to [[Myth/NorseMythology Niflheim]]. With new information come to light since then that ''both'' of them have yet-to-be explained [[AnIcePerson cryokinetic powers]] (and that the world is ''far weirder'' than we thought, particularly given the existence of entities like Eclipso and the Thunderbolt), it's implied now they aren't talking metaphorically, but that they are literally Jötunn.

* DramaticIrony: When Jakeem asks if Dragon King has "reptile skin and big sharp teeth", Mike scoffs saying that's probably an exaggeration. Those who watched "Brainwave, Jr." would know, that it's not.

** Courtney tells everyone about Cindy's treatment at the hands of her father.

** The final scene shows that Cindy is growing scales like her father had, hinting that she may actually be responsible for the attacks on Sharpe and Sylvester, or being framed for them, if she's not a huge RedHerring (it's still unexplained how either Cindy or Dragon King would have taken Sylvester into the air).

* NotSoDifferent: Pat jokingly attempts this with Sylvester and Crusher. Sylvester fails to see the humor.

** According to Dr [=McNider=]'s hypothesis, Sylvester's years of using the Cosmic Staff have given him a connection to it, allowing him to channel its energies even when separated from it. Though minimal, it gives him a HealingFactor, and is seemingly why he was revived when Courtney wielded the staff, since its energy output went up at that time.

** Yolanda's mom gets mad at her for being on the phone. She then proceeds to accuse her of telling people about her father losing his job, and states that it is the sole reason Yolanda still has hers.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Put on the spot, Dr. Chapel blamed Sylvester's wounds on a hit-and-run to hide a potential superhuman attacker. Pat tells her such a cover will cause the police to look for a suspect.
