* CantStayNormal: Ahsoka is tired of fighting and tries to live a normal life, but when a villager is nearly crushed by hay bales, she reflexively uses her Force powers to protect her. From there, an Inquisitor is summoned and Ahsoka realizes she can't avoid fighting any longer.

* OneDialogueTwoConversations: Senator Bail Organa's response to the two clone troopers that approached him is also directed toward Ahsoka, who's hiding nearby, reminding her of her duties and that she can always rely on him for help should she need it. The conversation is contextually odd to the oblivious clone troopers, so they just shrug as the escort Bail back to the funeral procession.

* IOweYouMyLife: The sister is grateful to Ahsoka for saving her life and promises not to tell anyone she’s a Jedi. Unfortunately, her brother overheard the conversation and is an Imperial fanatic who reports Ahsoka to the Inquisitorious.

* MythologyGag: Ahsoka uses the alias "Ashla", which was not only the original name George Lucas conceived for the light side of the Force[[note]]later made canon in a sense in ''Rebels'' when the Bendu used it as an ancient word for the light[[/note]], but was also later considered as Ahsoka's name during development of ''The Clone Wars''. It was also one of the aliases she used in the [[Literature/StarWarsAhsoka Ahsoka novel]].

* SwordDrag: The inquisitor likes dragging his lightsaber through the dirt, scorching it as he goes. The villagers are terrifingly intimidated by it. Ahsoka, made of much sterner stuff, just sees a cheap scare tactic.

** That same villager's brother is a staunch supporter for the Empire and is willing to turn in Ahsoka thinking that it's the right thing to do. Unfortunately, the Empire sends in an Inquisitor to brutally slaughter his co-workers and interrogate them for information on the Jedis' whereabouts.

However, after seeing the cruelty of the Empire when they destroyed an innocent farm village, she realized that Organa was right - she still has a duty to perform.

* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated: The Inquisitor is surprised that the Jedi he came looking for is Ahsoka and says that she is supposed to be dead.

* UngratefulBastard: The brother rats out Ahsoka to the Empire once he discovers her true nature, and this is after she saved his sister from being crushed by the hay barrels ''he'' haphazardly overloaded their hovercraft with. Even when Ahsoka is actively trying to save his life from the Inquisitor, he ''still'' tries lobbying for a reward; it's only after she saves him from being executed that he realizes his grave error, but by that point, his actions have resulted in the destruction of their home and the deaths of their friends and co-workers.

* PoliceState: The Empire is at the beginning of the episode no more than a few days old (officially speaking), but even the tranquil world of Naboo is under extreme surveillance and control, with Clone Troopers forbidding people to stand on perfectly innocent balconies.

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Ahsoka uses the Force to save a villager. It gets her ratted out to the Empire by said villager's brother for being a Jedi.

* WhatTheHellHero: While 'hero' is inaccurate, the sister calls her brother out on his actions leading to the destruction of their home and the death of all their friends, even outright grabbing his head to force him to take in the destruction while yelling "Look what you did!"

* CallForward:
** Ahsoka is exposed when she instinctively uses the Force to rescue her coworker from certain death, only to get hunted by an Inquisitor. Not only is this what will befall [[VideoGame/StarWarsJediFallenOrder Cal Kestis]], but also calls to the [[Series/ObiWanKenobi Grand Inquisitor and Vader's doctrine of using the Jedi's compassion to hunt them]].
** Ahsoka swiftly defeats the Inquisitor by luring him in and turning off his lightsaber, like how she will [[WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels defeat the Seventh Sister]]. This Inquisitor isn't lucky enough to survive the encounter like the Seventh Sister, however.

** Rex has a non-speaking appearance on guard duty near the Y-Wing him and Ahsoka used to escape from the ''Tribunal''.
