An experiment with kryptonite at the [=LuthorCorp=] plant goes very wrong and results in Lex being split into two halves: one good and one evil. Evil!Lex immediately wreaks havoc, imprisoning his good counterpart in the Luthor Mansion, trying to get Lionel to return to his evil ways, attempting to kill Clark and Chloe, and threatening to close the Talon unless Lana moves in with him.
