* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Rumpelstiltskin brought his dagger with him, making him seem GenreBlind having brought the only weapon that can kill him. However he proves to be the opposite by using the dagger to cut off his own shadow to prevent Pan from taking it and killing him, then has his shadow hide the dagger so he can't get screwed over that way either.

* HurtingHero: Emphasized yet again for Emma.

* VillainousValor: Pan claims that if Emma stops denying who she really is, the map will lead her to Henry. When Regina uses a locator spell on the map instead, he claims his not giving up Henry is solely because they cheated and "cheaters never win...[[MeaningfulEcho bad form]]." Since we never find out if the map would have worked, and on all but one other occasion Pan often cheats or breaks his word, it isn't clear if this was a case of VillainsNeverLie or if he was simply playing with Emma all along and merely used Regina's spell as an excuse.

So apparently this really was a case of VillainsNeverLie or if he was simply playing (complete with Emma all along said truth being a painful one designed to hurt and merely used Regina's spell as an excuse.demoralize the hero).
