* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Olympia's answer of "sitting around the table sharing a meal you both like" when she asks what brings people together is very reminiscent of a romantic date. It doesn't help that it's one of her most favorite things, which would imply that she's ''been'' on a date or two before with someone.

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Yes, the Goos bring an abundance of [[DoubleEntendre sexual innuendos]] to the table. That aside, however, there's also a tamer moment of this; Olympia's answer of "sitting around the table sharing a meal you both like" when she asks what brings people together is very reminiscent of a romantic date. It doesn't help that it's one of her most favorite things, which would imply that she's ''been'' on a date or two before with someone.

* IdiotBall: Ms. O grips the ball ''hard.'' She not only leaves Headquarters in the hands of four adults who are all incompetent, she leaves it in the hands of an '''''ex-villainess''''' of all people. However, the impact of the idiocy is lessened slightly by her giving instructions to the four adults to sit down, do nothing, and touch nothing (albeit they still disobey the instructions anyway). [[note]] The reason this trope doesn't overlap with [[invoked]] IdiotPlot is because the show paints adults in a negative light -- while it's ''very'' subjective depending on the adult in question, Odd Squad agents generally view them as criminals who are TooDumbToLive, so it's to be expected that Party Pam, Logan the Ogre, Hopkins and Mr. Fonts wouldn't be the sharpest tools in the shed.[[/note]]
** Out of the four adults, Logan the Ogre is the one who is most in possession of the ball, as he is the most idiotic of the group. While Mr. Fonts and Party Pam were gone, he went over to the lab, found a container full of green liquid, and somehow thought it was a good idea to stick his fingers in it.

[[caption-width-right:350:The most [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar [[{{double entendre}} innuendo-filled]] episode this show has ever produced.]]

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: If there's any episode in this series that takes the crown for being the most innuendo-filled (without playing the InnocentInnuendo trope, this trope's polar opposite, straight), then this is it. From the title of the episode itself, to the way the Goo people shoot out goo when they're happy as well as when they're mad at each other, to them being ''covered in goo themselves,'' it did ''not'' escape fans' attention that this episode is a little too NSFW by Creator/PBSKids standards -- and yet it got past the censors anyway.
** Bonus points go to Baroness Goo -- a human slathered in goo like the other two Goo leaders -- telling Ms. O that she's going to explode all over her headquarters with rage. Which is immediately followed by the tube operator on duty pulling out an umbrella.
** For how much Queen Goo is an ExtremeOmnivore, there's something to be said with her eyeing Olympia's jacket and remarking that it looks delicious, followed by Olympia giving a nervous chuckle and instinctively going to clutch her jacket, especially considering Olympia is a ''child'' while the Queen is an ''adult.''
** Regarding the aforementioned goo-shooting, the Goo people laughing and cheering at the end of the episode as goo shoots out at the Main 3 (who are wearing goggles), which is then followed by a shot of Gooey Randall laughing, deserves special mention.

Ms. O leaves headquarters in the hands of an unlikely crew.

----
!!Tropes:

* AllAnimalsAreDogs: Logan hisses like a cat upon seeing the evil photocopiers enter the bullpen.
* AmbiguousGender: Briefly [[DiscussedTrope discussed]] by Hopkins regarding the evil photocopier king's gender. He eventually decides to settle on "it".
* ApologeticAttacker: Mr. Fonts apologizes to his books before he throws them at the evil photocopiers.
* BabysittingEpisode: The episode revolves around Ms. O tasking Mr. Fonts, Party Pam, Logan the Ogre and Hopkins with keeping an eye on Headquarters while she and the rest of Precinct 13579's agents attend a company picnic. While things do manage to go disastrously wrong thanks to the adults not being all too intelligent, they manage to keep Headquarters intact by the time Ms. O returns, with her praising them for keeping the place (mostly) clean.
* {{Battlecry}}: Party Pam, Logan, and Mr. Fonts all give one when rushing into battle with the evil photocopiers. Party Pam in particular gives one that sounds, fittingly enough, like a balloon deflating.
* TheBusCameBack: Logan the Ogre, who hasn't been seen since Season 1's [[Recap/OddSquadS1E29TrialsandTubulations "Trials and Tubulations"]], returns in this episode.
* CallBack: Just like in [[Recap/OddSquadS2E17TheCherryOnTopinatorSir "Sir"]], someone manages to get lost in Precinct 13579's Headquarters.
** The episode borrows a few elements from [[Recap/OddSquadS1E26RobertPlantGameTime "Robert Plant"]] as well -- someone needs to get somewhere important in Headquarters to solve an issue, and [[{{Aesop}} uses a map and landmarks]] to help them figure out where they need to go. There's also a looming threat at the climax of the episode, with evil photocopiers instead of a rapidly-growing plant.
* ChekhovsGun: The emergency vacuum that is passed by numerous characters turns out to be the way the group cleans up the mess the evil machines made.
* ChekhovsSkill: Hopkins' proficiency in working in an office and knowing all of its appliances allows him to identify the evil photocopier king and take action to defeat it.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Ms. O explains that she and the rest of Precinct 13579 are going on a company picnic, and she needs people she can trust to run Headquarters while she's gone. Logan thinks that she wants them to go out and ''find'' people she can trust, when in fact he, as well as Party Pam, Hopkins and Mr. Fonts, ''are'' those people.
* ContinuityNod: Ms. O keeps a tablet of her own in her {{Hammerspace}} spine, which looks a lot like Owen's, as seen in [[Recap/OddSquadS1E40OIsNotForOver "O is Not For Over"]].
* Evil photocopiers have been seen in past episodes such as [[Recap/OddSquadS2E9HappyHalfiversaryGoodEggBadEgg "Happy Halfiversary"]] and [[Recap/OddSquadS2E19TheVoicePartnerProblems "The Voice"]].
* ExtremeOmnivore: At one point, Logan eats a dead plant that sits on Otis's desk.
* EvilCounterpart: Odd Squad has two rooms with photocopiers: the Office Supply Room, and the ''Evil'' Office Supply Room. Guess where Hopkins goes for his photocopying.
* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Logan the Ogre has a bit of an unhealthy fascination with inviting Party Pam, Hopkins and Mr. Fonts to watch him do disgusting things.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Apparently, this ability isn't limited to just Odd Squad employees -- adults like Mr. Fonts can do it as well, as he pulls Ms. O's tablet from his back. Hopkins [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] it.
--> '''Hopkins:''' Wh- how'd you do that?
--> '''Mr. Fonts:''' I don't know.
* HellIsThatNoise: The ringing sound that Mr. Fonts and Party Pam go to investigate can count as this, considering it's very high-pitched (and can get annoying fast). It doesn't help that those who watch the episode with headphones on can hear it in the left audio channel only.
* HomicideMachines: The Evil Office Supply Room has photocopiers who seek to do one thing: kill human beings. They are ruled by one king who is taller than any of the four adults and can fire beams from its eyes that destroy anything it touches.
[[note]] The reason this trope doesn't overlap with [[invoked]] IdiotPlot is because the show paints adults in a negative light -- Odd Squad agents view them as criminals who are TooDumbToLive, so it's to be expected that Party Pam, Logan the Ogre, Hopkins and Mr.
* ImprovisedArmour: Subverted. Party Pam gives things like a helmet and a shield to Logan and Mr. Fonts for them to use to defend themselves, which are all made out of balloons. However, right after giving them those things, she immediately takes them back, saying that she wants to keep them to place in an art show.
* InstantlyProvenWrong: Mr. Fonts and Party Pam eventually manage to find their way back to the bullpen, and upon doing so, Mr. Fonts suggests that he and Pam sit down so they don't run into any more trouble. A second later, and Logan is revealed to be standing in the lab, worriedly saying that he's run into more trouble.
* TheLeader: Mr. Fonts is the most rational of the group, constantly being a RulesLawyer as he tries to keep Party Pam, Hopkins and Logan (''especially'' Logan) under control. He is of the Levelheaded type.
* LetsGetDangerous: For being an adult who isn't all too smart, Hopkins looks ''incredibly'' badass when going to stop the evil photocopier king. While Mr. Fonts, Party Pam and Logan the Ogre are generally fearful of the evil photocopiers, Hopkins could care less.
* LettingTheAirOutOfTheBand: When Hopkins manages to disable the evil photocopier king, it falls over. However, it's not going down without a fight, and [[ElectronicSpeechImpediment continues saying "duplicate" in a slowed-down, distorted, deeper tone of voice]] for a few more moments before it shuts down, followed by the rest of the evil machines.
* LiteralMinded: When Pam comments that the map on Ms. O's tablet is a bird's-eye view of Headquarters, Hopkins says that he has human eyes, while Logan says that he's always wanted a pair of human eyes.
* LowerDeckEpisode: This episode takes a unique twist from the typical lower-deck episodes or [[ADayInTheLimelight days in the limelight]] it has -- instead of focusing on a side character who is an Odd Squad agent, the episode focuses on four adults who are all clients of Odd Squad (or have had the organization help them in some way).
* MomentKiller: Mr. Fonts, Party Pam and Hopkins watch Ms. O go through the tubes via her personal tube entrance, and are in awe at how cool it is. Logan then pipes up and asks them if they want to see him lay an egg.
* NervousWreck: Mr. Fonts is the most levelheaded of the group, but he's also very anxious when it comes to oddities. He hears a weird noise, and immediately decides to call Ms. O.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The issues of Logan, Party Pam and Mr. Fonts are all resolved...but Hopkins is largely out of the picture, and it's revealed that while he was able to finish his presentation, he used the Evil Office Supply Room rather than the normal one.
* NoSenseOfDirection: Due to not being overtly familiar with Odd Squad HQ, Party Pam and Mr. Fonts get lost when trying to get back to the bullpen.
** The trope is averted for Directions Pam, Party Pam's sister who, true to her name, is incredible at directions.
* OnlyChildSyndrome: Averted for Party Pam, who has a sister named Directions Pam. When Fonts asks Party Pam where her sister lives, she says that her sister lives in a place that only she knows.
* OurOgresAreDifferent: It's revealed that Logan the Ogre can shed his skin, and also has the ability to lay eggs. He also likes to eat dead plants.
--> '''Logan:''' ''[when caught eating a dead plant]'' What? I'm an ogre. This is what ogres do.
* {{Overcrank}}: Used while Hopkins is on his way to defeat the evil photocopier king, which also includes his InnerMonologue as he points out various landmarks in Headquarters.
* ThePigPen: Played for laughs with Party Pam, who likes to pick up old clothes off of the ground and wear them.
* PokemonSpeak: The only thing the evil photocopiers can say is "duplicate".
* RevealShot: Ms. O tells the group that she's impressed at how clean the bullpen is, except for one particular spot. WhipPan over to the right to reveal a rather large mess that consists of a broken chair, a trash bag sitting on top of a trash can, and many, ''many'' broken evil machines (with ''smoke'' coming off of them!).
* RulesLawyer: Mr. Fonts is very uptight when it comes to Ms. O's instructions.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When the evil photocopier king destroys the emergency phone Ms. O gave Mr. Fonts, he and the other three adults immediately retreat.
* ShoutOut: While it's barely heard, one of the evil printers Hopkins passes sounds like the iconic [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dudJjUU9Nhs AOL dial-up sound]].
* [[invoked]] {{Squick}}: Party Pam has this reaction to Hopkins explaining how he's working on a presentation for "Shmumbers Moisturizing Carpets". Mr. Fonts, on the other hand, comments on how Shmumbers makes nice moisturizing carpets.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Party Pam is the only female among the group.
* TemptingFate: Party Pam believes that she and the other adults can handle one photocopier. Immediately after she says that, more evil photocopiers flank them on all sides.
--> '''Hopkins:''' Oh, I was just about to tell you there was more than one. Which is...I think pretty unnecessary at this point.
* VerbThis: As a PreMortemOneLiner, Hopkins says "Copy ''this.''" Bonus points for it being in SlowMotion.
* WantsAPrizeForBasicDecency: For solving an issue without bothering Ms. O, Party Pam wants the Director to re-think the "kids can only be employed by Odd Squad" rule. Of course, StatusQuoIsGod.
* WorldBuilding: This episode introduces a few different landmarks for Precinct 13579's Headquarters, such as a Ferris wheel, an emergency vacuum, and a tiny grandfather clock.
** The Glove Room's interior is shown -- it's revealed to be a vending machine with gloves in it instead of food or drinks.
** The Trophy Room is addressed by name for the first time in-series. [[note]] Olympia had previously spoken its name in the [[CharacterBlog [=OddTube=]]] episode "Let's Get Historical".[[/note]]
* WrittenInAbsence: The Main 4 don't appear in this episode, with the exception of Ms. O, who only makes brief appearances at the beginning and end of the episode. This is due to the fact that Precinct 13579's agents are away on a company picnic.

Olympia and Otis are tasked with calling a truce between feuding guests.

----
!!Tropes:

* AesopEnforcer: King Berry helpfully explains to Otis what a sphere and a cube are.
* AffectionateNickname: "Odd Squadder" is once again used as a nickname for an Odd Squad agent. This time around,
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Queen Goo, King Berry, and Baroness Goo all have orange, blue and purple skin colors, respectively.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: The Main 3 work in a place that is filled with oddities, where a few agents have very questionable food choices, but all of them -- including Ms. O -- draw the line at the Goo people's own weird food preferations.
* ArchEnemy: All three Goo people are this to each other.
* AscendedExtra: Downplayed. Omir, a background agent seen in many past episodes, gets a prominent role as Otis's stand-in. However, he doesn't speak, and doesn't last even a minute onscreen.
* BrickJoke: Olympia is excited to settle the feud between the Goo people because it means she, Otis and Ms. O will get spots in the Odd Squad History Book. (Twice.) At the end of the episode, all three agents do indeed manage to get into the book, but Olympia is the only one happy about it.
* TheBusCameBack: Gooey Randall, who hasn't been seen since [[Recap/OddSquadS1E32NotSoSplashByTheBook "By the Book"]] back in Season 1, returns in this episode.
* ChekhovsGunman: The band that Ms. O hires to make her meetings more enjoyable turns out to be exactly what is needed to settle the feud amongst the goo people.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Olympia asks Ms. O what brings people together. Ms. O responds in dead earnest with "Rope."
* ContinuityNod: [[Recap/OddSquadS2E29WhereTheresAWolfTheresAWayNewJacketRequired "Where There's a Wolf, There's a Way" had Otis arriving to Coach O's office (as a stand-in for Ms. O) without his partner. This episode has Olympia coming without ''her'' partner, using a background agent as a stand-in. Both episodes also featured the missing agents on their lunch breaks.
** While it's been established in past episodes that the season takes place in the Toronto Odd Squad Headquarters, this episode pushes that further by having King Berry enter the ''Toledo'' Odd Squad HQ ("Toledo" sounds similar to "Toronto").
** "Odd Squadder" is once again used as a nickname for an Odd Squad agent. This time around, Queen Goo refers to Olympia as one.
* CoolCrown: King Berry wears one.
* DancingIsSeriousBusiness: Ms. O's rock band plays the outro to the scene with Ms. O and Olympia, and as a result, the latter dances her way out of the former's office.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Ms. O has the two Goo leaders keep their eyes closed so they won't see each other. Too bad that she didn't factor in their hearing of each other as well.
* ExtremeOmnivore: All three Goo leaders like to eat things that aren't edible in real life, like tennis balls and traffic cones, and even ''Investigation agents' jackets.'' Olympia even [[LampshadeHanging hangs a lampshade]] on how Queen Goo in particular can eat rays from a sunset.
--> '''Queen Goo:''' Oh I'm not very picky, I only eat foods that are colored orange.
--> '''Olympia:''' Orange? Like...carrots and oranges?
--> '''Queen Goo:''' Oh I suppose so, but...my most favorite orange-colored foods are delicious traffic cones, life vests, and rays from a sunset.
--> '''Olympia:''' How do you eat a sunset?
--> '''Queen Goo:''' [[MathematiciansAnswer Very well, thank you.]]
--> ''[Olympia develops a look of utmost confusion]''
** She later lampshades the Goo leaders' tastes in food.
--> '''Olympia:''' Can we take a second to agree these two Goos have the ''weirdest'' food choices?
--> '''Otis:''' Agreed.
* FatalFlaw: Ms. O can't schedule meetings properly to save her life, which kickstarts the plot of the episode. Not only that, but it's happened quite a few times before, especially between King Berry and Queen Goo.
** Bonus points go to Baroness Goo -- a human being slathered in goo like the other two Goo leaders -- telling Ms.
* HellIsThatNoise: Music in general is this for all three Goo leaders.
* HypocriticalHumor: When asked what she likes to eat, Queen Goo says that she's not picky...and then immediately says that she only likes to eat orange things.
** King Berry later says that he's "easy-peasy" before stating that he only eats spherical things.
* ImStandingRightHere: Ms. O begins a long-winded RousingSpeech about how Precinct 13579 helped the four Goo people find something they have in common. Said commonality is their dislike of music, which the house band the Director hired take offense to.
* LargeHam: Gooey Randall arrives in Ms. O's office, hams it up, and gets a nonplussed reaction from all three Goo people, who have no clue who he is.
* LittleNo: Otis gives one of these when King Berry asks for the second time if he and Otis are in Toledo, Ohio.
* MirthlessLaughter: Baroness Goo accuses Ms. O of scheduling the three Goo people at the same time. The Director responds by laughing out "No, Baroness Goo!" in a nervous manner before diverting the subject to what the Baroness wants for dessert.
* MotorMouth: [[CheerfulChild Olympia]] ''really'' gets going when talking about getting into the Odd Squad History Book. Not even Ms. O can stop her!
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Queen Goo looks quite similar to [[UsefulNotes/HMTheQueen Queen Elizabeth II,]] right down to the royal wave and the [[IAmVeryBritish British accent.]]
* NonAnswer: Olympia does this with Queen Goo when asking what she wants for dessert.
--> '''Queen Goo:''' I don't understand why you've brought me here again!
--> '''Olympia:''' Because I need to know what you like to eat for dessert.
--> '''Queen Goo:''' Why couldn't you have just asked me that in Ms. O's office?
--> '''Olympia:''' ''[continuously hesitant]'' That's a great question!
--> '''Queen Goo:''' And?
--> '''Olympia:''' And I will see your great question and raise you one!
* NoSenseOfDirection: King Berry asks Otis twice if they're in Toledo (situated in Ohio). Since "Toledo" sounds similar to "Toronto", it's further confirmation that the show takes place in Toronto.
* NotSoDifferent: Ms. O attempts to convince the three Goo people that they have things in common, as all of them believe that they're NotSoSimilar with each other. Gooey Randall is a double-subversion -- none of the Goo people recognize him until he reminds them, then they go and engage in combat.
* PopCulturePunEpisodeTitle: The episode's title is a reference to the song "It Takes Two" by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock.
* PowerGlows: The Goo people all illuminate their theme colors (orange for Queen Goo, blue for King Berry, purple for Baroness Goo, and pink for Gooey Randall) before attacking.
* RhymesOnADime: Ms. O does this, and [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] it before she says "now is not the time!"
* RockTrio: Ms. O hires a band to play music in order to make her office more inviting, since it's a 30-day free trial. However, the trio itself has a bit of a variant: one of the band members plays a keyboard, not bass.
* SkewedPriorities: Olympia is tasked with settling a longtime feud between Goo leaders. She's more obsessed with getting into the Odd Squad History Book, which is something that carries over into the end of the episode as she's covered in goo.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: Ms. O is shown applying sequins to a piece of denim clothing as Olympia walks into her office.
* ThisCannotBe: Both Queen Goo and King Berry have this reaction when Olympia reveals that she and Otis made a dish they both like.
* TranquilFury: Not only does Ms. O take issue with Omir taking the place of Otis, she also isn't happy when Olympia asks excitedly if the band she hired needs a lead singer.
* TwoTimerDate: Due to Ms. O's horrible schedule planning, she manages to invite three leaders of three different goo-related cities on the same day who don't like each other. She employs Olympia and Otis to find something that all three leaders have in common so they can become allies instead of enemies, and to keep them away from each other. It's stated that this is ''far'' from the first time she's had a schedule slip-up like this.
--> '''Ms. O:''' I really need to get better at scheduling my meetings.
* WomenAreWiser: King Berry seems to have his IQ points reduced compared to the other two female Goo leaders.
* WorldBuilding: This episode introduces two new lands, and three new Goo leaders: the Land of Goo ruled by Queen Goo, Gooland ruled by King Berry, and Baroness Goo (who isn't in charge of a specific land).
* WorldOfCardboardSpeech: Ms. O starts giving one regarding the making of the dessert. She doesn't get very far before all three Goo people open their eyes and give yet another YouExclamation.
* YouExclamation: The three Goo people do this a ''lot'' with each other.
* YourPrincessIsInAnotherCastle: Every time the Main 3 think they have things settled with the Goo people, another problem arises in the form of ''more'' Goo people arriving.
