** As does Lars Fillmore, in the sense that the memorial service the Planet Express crew holds in Fry's honor was actually for ''him'', the Fry that went back in time.

most of these characters either don't appear in the movie, or have some active wrong info: they didn't have the weapons to try to retake earth properly until they got in contact with robot santa.

** Also, the characters all leave Earth without putting up a fight, but immediately come back and fight ''right after the scammers set up methods of defense''. It wouldn't be so bad if the scammers hadn't been ''wide in the open'' while the citizens of Earth were evacuating.
** Not just an IdiotBall, but OutOfCharacter as well. To wit: Since when do characters like Mom, Nixon, Robot Santa and their casually violent lawless ilk respect things like contracts? Usually, any of their solutions to a Gordian Knot is to vaporize the planet the knot is on.
** However, Mom never made an appearance during this film; it seems likely she knew better than to get scammed (though her sons probably were). Still doesn't explain why she didn't do anything, other than simple disinterest for anyone but her.

Added DiffLines:

* OntologicalInertia: A major plot element of the film is "paradox-free time travel"--that is to say, a form of time travel where no matter what you do, the universe bends events so that the present mostly turns out the same. This allows things that would normally be impossible, such as preventing yourself from going back in time or stealing a vital historical object and never returning it, without significant risk of the universe breaking down. This is mainly through causing any spare duplicates created through time travel to abruptly die. [[spoiler:At the end of the movie, Bender manages to do something ''so'' impossible that it breaks OntologicalInertia altogether, cracking open the universe.]]

* FutureSelfReveal: In this film, we meet Lars Fillmore, an older man who starts dating Leela. The main plot involves Fry accidentally going back in time and creating a duplicate of himself. One Fry remains in the past and lives out the rest of his life as he would have if he was never frozen for a thousand years in the pilot, while the other goes back to the future without knowledge of this. After living several years in the past, Fry's house is burnt down and his hair is singed off, giving him the appearance of Lars. He then realizes that he was Lars and he goes to freeze himself so he can be with Leela in the future.

** Fry's time duplicate is shown to be responsible for Michelle's appearance in "The Cryonic Woman" -- she was actually supposed to wake up in the 24th century rather than the 31st, but Lars altered the settings on her cryo-tube in order to get back to Leela; if Lars never reset Michelle's cryo-tube, she would've ended up in medieval 24th century.

* ExtradimensionalEmergencyExit: Ends on a cliffhanger where all the time duplicates of Bender emerge from the caverns under the Planet Express building, causing a paradox pileup that tears open the sky. Nibbler's response is to yell, "Everyone out of the universe!" and disappear by eating himself somehow, the implication being that he's escaped to another dimension. He turns up in later episodes without explanation.

Cuckold is now on Definition Only Pages; examples in bulleted lists aren't allowed. Examples that focus on the original husband's feelings can go in Emasculated Cuckold

* {{Cuckold}}: Hermes temporarily loses his body and has his head put in a jar. During this time, his wife Labarbara leaves him (along with their son) and goes back to her ex-husband, Barbados Slim, who is superior to Hermes in just about every possible way, including being {{hunk}}ier, [[WomenPreferStrongMen more athletic]], and a better sexual partner. However, Labarbara later leaves Barbados again when Hermes helps save the world, and later episodes reveal that this situation is actually reversed for Barbados, who is jealous of Labarbara's pure affectionate love for Hermes.
