-->Brian: What's up with you lately? You've been acting really weird all of the sudden.\\
-->Peter: All of the sudden, Brian? I think what you mean is all of a sudden. Ladies and gentlemen, that's the author in the house.\\
-->Brian: What's your problem? Why are you being such a jerk to me?\\
-->Peter: My problem with you? Let's see, where do I begin? You accept food, clothing and shelter, yet no responsibilities. You constantly wanna sleep with my wife, who is an angel - oh, and the hypocrisy! You claim to be an ally to women, but I bet you don't even know Nancy Pelosi's official title.\\
-->Brian: Sure I do. She's, uh... Chuck Schumer's secretary.\\
-->Peter: Forget it, Brian. Now, can you strap me to this milking table? My wife will be home soon.

Added DiffLines:

* RealMenHateAffection: Peter and Quagmire's belief in this is exaggerated to the hilt. Because they accidentally wore each other's underwear (thanks to a mixup at the laundromat), they go from merely being embarrassed to coming to the conclusion that they can't be friends anymore. Both Lois and Ida try to make it clear to Peter and Quagmire that men sharing affection of any kind (accidentally or not) is not a big deal in this day in age, yet they blatantly and repeatedly shoot down these claims. Peter outright states that "Guys don't share feelings, emotions, or underwear", and Quagmire points out that "Masculinity doesn't account for stuff like this", despite it being 2021, and those statements being the sort of thing you'd hear 15, 20 years ago from people with much more rigid views of masculinity.

* ShoutOut: The episode ends with Stewie asking Brian if he wants to do a to be continued meme. Brian says that he doesn't know what that is before Stewie blows him up with a Bazooka. Mid explosion, there is a freeze frame complete with the sepia filter, Roundabout by Yes playing, and the "to be continued" stinger arrow. Of course, Brian got better in the next episode, Cootie & The Blowhard.

Added DiffLines:

* DisneyVillainDeath: Doug... er, "kills" Chi Chi by pushing him off of the high shelf he was placed on.

Added DiffLines:

** Chi Chi's murder has his glasses put in a way to see the murder, which makes sense given the Film/StrangersOnATrain allusion of the plot. %%It's not quite done how the glasses scene in the original was, but it's the spirit of the thing.

* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Doug is adamant Stewie kills his pet cat, and sees no difference in him breaking a toy monkey Stewie hates.

Added DiffLines:

** Taking the JoJo reference further, the "to be continued" moment involves Brian getting blown up, whereas Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure has been quite infamous of the amount of canine abuse featured in it.

Added DiffLines:

* DoubleStandard: Peter and Quagmire accidentally wearing each other's underwear is seen as something so embarrassing and damaging to their masculinity that their friendship almost dissolves. Meanwhile, women wearing each other's underwear is a complete non-issue, with Peter even finding it sexy.
