* FailureMontage: After Dexter yells at Dee Dee that he is going to bring her down the remainder of the episode is his various attempts to do so, all resulting in failure. His final attempt is kinda successful in that he does get her down, but accidentally destroyed his suit in the process.
* SayingTooMuch: Dexter accidentally reveals how Dee Dee can activate his inflatable hydro-plasmatic suit when telling her she is too dumb to figure it out.

* BattyLipBurbling: Mental Mouse does this after he is defeated and thrown in jail.
* BigBallOfViolence: When Major Glory sees White Tiger messing with his knitting he attacks him telling him to drop the yarn and the two of them get into a huge fight cloud. Kronk ends up getting dragged into it quickly and it apparently lasts most of the night.
* HeroAntagonist: White Tiger is a hero like the Justice Friends, but is also technically the main antagonist of the segment due to Major Glory being allergic cats and him and Kronk trying to get him out of the apartment.
* {{Expy}}: White Tiger is a parody of Black Panther and Mental Mouse is one of M.O.D.O.K.

* AmbiguousSituation: Partly due to the GainaxEnding, it is unknown what the last shot of the episode with the multi-lens microscope signifies. Could it imply that this is not the actual Dexter and Dee Dee and the real one was watching them, or is it just a simple BrickJoke to call back to the beginning of the episode?
* TheBadGuyWins: Dee Dee defeats Dexter when the two battle in the city and pins him down, forcing him to listen to the rest of her story. To add further insult to injury, the whole thing turned out to be one long knock knock joke, which Dee Dee [[ILied claimed earlier that it wasn't]].
* BookEnd: The episode begins with Dexter watching a tiny world with a multi-lens microscope. The ending has another device that looks exactly like the one Dexter was using watching Dexter and Dee Dee.
* CallingYourAttacks: Dexter and Dee Dee shout their attack names when they battle each other.
* {{Determinator}}: Dee Dee refuses to stop until Dexter listens to her story. Even when she continuously transforms into a monster she chases him down demanding he listen. She eventually succeeds in forcing him to listen.
* GainaxEnding: Dexter and Dee Dee remain giant monsters with no indication of how or if they can turn back to normal. The final shot of the episode has Dee Dee pinning Dexter as he screams a BigNo and a multi-lens microscope suddenly appearing to watch them.

* ILied: Dee Dee claims that her story isn't another one of her knock knock jokes. She reveals at the end that it ''is''.
* {{Kaiju}}: Dexter and Dee Dee turn into giant monsters that eventually grow bigger than the entire city, apparently big enough to see from space. Bonus points for Dexter's form resembling Godzilla, one of the most famous kanji ever.
* ManBitesMan: During the fight between Dexter and Dee Dee, one of the quick close up scenes shows Dee Dee taking a huge bite into Dexter. Though it is debatable how much they qualify since they have both become monsters by this point.
* ShoutOut: Dexter's narration at the beginning as he studies a tiny world has him mention "Horton's Theory of Who". This obviously is a parody of ''Literature/HortonHearsAWho'' by Creator/DrSeuss, which involved worlds being so small they were the size of a speck of dust.
