'''A Plot:''' It’s the Dog River Corn Festival and Hank is upset he’s been replaced by Wanda as the Chief Corn Maze Designer. Wanda’s excited, however, because she’s designed a maze so complex, she’ll definitely be able to get into Maze Masters – an exclusive club for primo puzzlers. Too bad the judge sent to evaluate her seems difficult to impress.

* MaliciousMisnaming: Karen repeatedly and intentionally refers to the Maze Master by the wrong name, such as "Martin" and "Marvin". At one point he corrects her by saying his name is "Myron", and Karen replies by calling him "Melvin".
* NotEvenBotheringWithAnExcuse: In TheTag, Hank and Wanda learn that neither of them will be on Maize duty for the next festival, not because of their respectively uncomplicated and too-complicated designs, but ([[Recap/CornerGasS2E10MosquitoTime similar to the town's time capsule]]) because the town just uses the festival as an excuse to get drunk and they're setting up a distillery in the designated area.

Added DiffLines:

* IWasQuiteALooker: Davis directing parking lot traffic gives him fond memories of his early days as a mere traffic cop, complete with a flashback of him dancing in hotpants at an intersection (and annoying a driver he'd stopped).

Added DiffLines:

* SeriousBusiness: Davis takes directing traffic in the parking area very seriously, and is dismayed when Fitzy initially refers to it as superfluous.

* AbhorrentAdmirer: Myron is immediately attracted to Karen, who considers him a narcissistic jerk, because Karen reminds him of a thong-wearing cop from his favorite video game.

* LoopholeAbuse: When Brent tries to sabotage refreshment sales by saying customers are limited to a single bag, Lacey decides to buy the remaining popcorn and put it all in one huge trash bag so they can go see the corn maze.
