After doing a bit of research about Kreese online, Robby checks his email and finds several messages from Sam. He starts to respond to her, but Shawn returns and pulls the plug on his computer. Robby appeals to the bully to leave him alone, but his words fall on deaf ears. The guard orders all the inmates back to their bunks, but not before Shawn calls Robby a "bitch" behind his back.

Daniel meets up with Kumiko, who has another surprise for him -- Yuna, the girl whose life Daniel saved from the typhoon in ''Part II''. She is now the Senior Vice President of Sales at Dayona International, and happily declares that she is going to save Daniel's business.

* SurprisinglyGoodEnglish: Yuna speaks fluent American-accented English. Justified, given her position as Senior Vice President of Sales at Doyona International, where perfect English comes in handy.

* YouGotSpunk: Kreese's reaction to Amanda slapping him. [[ComplimentBackfire She is NOT flattered.]]

* CelebrityParadox: Amanda refers to Franchise/{{Rambo}} while talking to Kreese. If she is familiar with the franchise, particularly ‘’Film/RamboFirstBloodPartII’’, she might notice the actor playing Ericson looks identical to Kreese.

* ChewOutFakeOut: When Amanda arrives at the hospital, she starts to lecture Sam for starting another fight, but when she sees Sam crying about Demitri's arm and how scared she was, Amanda's anger immediately disappears and she hugs Sam reassuringly.

* ActorAllusion: [[DeadpanSnarker Amanda]] refers to Kreese as "Rambo" when she confronts him. Creator/MartinKove played a supporting character (Michael Reed Ericson) in ''Film/RamboFirstBloodPartII''. Also an example of CelebrityParadox.

** Robby starts to write an apology email to Sam, only for the head juvie bully to pull the plug on his computer.

* CelebrityParadox: Amanda refers to Rambo while talking to Kreese. If she is familiar with the franchise, particularly ‘’Film/RamboII’’, she might notice the actor playing Ericson looks identical to Kreese.

Daniel is able to accept that, even though he wasn't present for Chozen's HeelFaceTurn, it's still sincere.

* EasilyForgiven: Chozen is regretful of his actions and treatment towards Daniel during ''Part II''. Daniel forgives him despite everything he went through at the time.

* TookALevelInKindness: Like the OG Cobra Kai gang, Chozen is revealed to have become a much better person since the events of the second film, and his initial hostility towards Daniel was just an act. After he and Daniel finish their training, the two part on good terms, with Chozen gifting Daniel an ancient Miyagi-Do scroll.
