* SelfFulfillingProphecy: Invoked. Indy's first story has her come to the conclusion that perhaps the reason her initial horse statue turned out poorly is because she's simply not good at sculpting. To this, Calypso [[LemonyNarrator soberly]] narrates how Indy never sculpted anything with bee's wax ever again. When a confused Indy wonders why her story didn't end on a happier note, Calypso [[LampshadeHanging point out]] that Indy's character ''did'' convince herself she simply wasn't a good sculptor. [[{{Reconstruction}} In response]], Indy decides to tell another story where instead of falling prey to this trope, [[DefiedTrope circumstances convince her to try again]].

Removed per thread.

* AnAesop:
** Your life is a story of your own making, and you have it within your power to decide how it will go.
** Don't give up on something just because you're not good at it at first. If you give in to the idea you're inherently bad at it, [[SelfFulfillingProphecy then of course you'll never be good at it]].
** Just because a child has mischievous tendencies doesn't necessarily mean they're "not good". It's what's in their heart that matters most.

* CharacterDevelopment: Indy and Winton each have their respective arcs. Indy's is about [[TheDeterminator not giving up]], while Winton's is about finding his self-worth. When the two end up turning cow-horse into giraffe-horse for making the neck too long, Winton despairs that he's too flawed to be helpful to Indy. In turn, Indy (who previously was discouraged her sculpture didn't turn out to be a horse) cheers him up by facetiously playing her sculpture up as a giraffe. So once they adjust the sculpture's neck and succeed, Winton compliments that Indy is indeed good at sculpting, as Indy compliments that Winton is indeed a good kid.

** HappyEnding: As such, after she and Winton work at making her cow-horse into a proper sculpture of a horse, Indy ends the story on the happier note that she achieved her goal instead of giving up.

* InformedSpecies: An InUniverse case, as Indy feels discouraged when she makes a horse out of beeswax but everyone else thinks it's a cow. She spends most of the episode trying to figure out how to make it look more like a horse.

Indy thinks she's no good because her model horse looks like a cow, but Calypso encourages her not to give up, so she tries to fix it with a little help from Winton.

Not remotely true, a few other previous cameos have been non-Aussie as well

* TheCameo: Creator/LinManuelMiranda voices the horse Major Tom, consequently making him the first character in the series with a non-Australian voice actor.

* DownerEnding: Played with. Indy's ''first'' story ends on the note that because she gave up clay-sculpting, she never sculpted another clay statue ever again. Indy doesn't like that ending, [[{{Reconstruction}} prompting her to tell a new story]] where circumstances convince her not to give up.

* CreditsGag: When Indy's 'story' seemingly ends on a sobering note that she never bothered making clay statues again, we are given the 'credits'. But to drive home this isn't the ''real'' ending, Winton comes into frame and starts jumbling the letters around. What few letters ''weren't'' ruined has fake names based on dog breeds.
