* ADayInTheLimelight: This arc gives some prominence to Tatsuki, Keigo, Mizuiro, and Chizuru, who finally have their latent spiritual awareness develop into plot prominence at the worst possible moment, as they wake up earlier than [[TheMuggle those without powers]], just in time to find Aizen hunting them. Rangiku also follows Aizen and Gin in order to demand why the latter has done his FaceHeelTurn, and so she gets some spotlight here as well.

As it turns out, Aizen ''knew'' Gin wanted to kill him, and specifically allowed him to join just to see how he would go about it.

The whole arc is series of curb-stomp battles. Mostly Aizen against his opponents, although not he's not the only culprit.

* KillTheGod: By this point Aizen was so overpowered and ranting about his godhood that this was applied. Also doubles as FridgeBrilliance, seeing as "deicide" literally means "to kill a god."

* KillTheGod: By this point Aizen was so overpowered and ranting Subverted. The arc is all about his godhood that this was applied. Also doubles as FridgeBrilliance, seeing as "deicide" literally killing a god ("Deicide" means "to kill a god."god") as Aizen's quest to become so overpowered is based on his obsession with breaking the boundary of shinigami and divinity. Despite how convinced he is of his godhood, he never actually becomes one.

Okay, I thought about this and I think I\'ve found a way to reword these two tropes without giving away too much plot. Hopefully, this works.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Aizen ends up making one too many assumptions about how his final plan is unfolding and succeeding. It creates an exploitable hole that he doesn't even notice until it's too late.

* ShutUpHannibal: When Ichigo gets back from his last minute training and confronts Aizen a second time, he requests moving to a unpopulated area. Aizen starts to refuse but Ichigo grabs him by the face to interrupt him.

* VillainousBreakdown: Aizen's plan rested on too many assumptions that were shakier than he was aware of. When he does finally become aware of this problem, his calm demeanour shatters and he completely loses control of the situation he's in.

Bittersweet Ending is a trope for a story\'s end, not the end of an arc within a story that hasn\'t finished yet. As to spoilers on Recap pages, the wiki policy isn\'t about the use of spoiler tags but the use of actual spoilers. The trope should only be listed if it can be written in a way that doesn\'t spoiler the storyline for people.

* BittersweetEnding: Aizen is finally defeated and Karakura Town is saved. But Ichigo loses his powers, having to use them all up against Aizen, and thus loses his ability to see his shinigami friends. He and Rukia have a tearful goodbye as his powers fade.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Aizen's reliance on the Hogyoku proves his undoing. When he finally faces off against Ichigo, he doesn't take him seriously and the upgrades he gains prove useless. In the end the Hogyoku strips Aizen of his power as it feels Aizen is no longer a worthy master, allowing a kido spell Kisuke fired into him to activate and seal him.

* ShutUpHannibal: When Ichigo gets back from his last minute training and confronts Aizen a second time, he requests moving to a unpopulated area. Aizen starts to refuse but Ichigo grabs him by the face to interrupt him.
* VillainousBreakdown: Aizen has a massive one as the battle against Ichigo goes on and realizes that Ichigo's power is superior over his own. As Ichigo notes, something he can't understand or analyze seriously frightens him.

Okay you are not making any amount of sense. The tropes listed are for the context of the story arc, NOT the series as a whole. Also it\'s only misuse if you don\'t explain the trope in detail. I have, so I have virtually no clue what the heck your on about unless your just one of those \"diehard\" fans, to which I ask, please don\'t be. This recap is meant to be both fun and informative. I\'m trying to adhere to the rules and like I told someone earlier, the site said they\'re trying NOT to be wikipedia. But your so far, are not living up to that if you have to erase every minute thing just because it doesn\'t look right in your eyes. I\'m all for fairness but don\'t be a stick in the mud. As for spoilers, if you don\'t want them boxed, fine. But don\'t erase them.
