Character reaction.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: After getting their genetic damage fixed by the Omnitrix, the Highbreed are completely appalled by this change, being "genetically impure" and all, and decide that the only way end it is to commit ''mass suicide''. As it turns out, having lived under an ideology for generations that values "genetic pureness" above all else won't be so easily overcome. The only reason they don't go through with it is because of Reiny, a member of their own, who tells them that this genetic transformation is a "rebirth" and a new beginning for their species.

Added DiffLines:

* HeelFaceTurn: The Highbreed are saved from dying out and are convinced by Reiny to live in peace with the universe, ending the war.

Added DiffLines:

* SeriesFauxnale: Given that it wraps up the main StoryArc of ''Alien Force'', ends on a {{Bookend}} to the first episode, and brings everyone's character arcs full circle (especially Ben), this episode could have easily passed as the GrandFinale of Ben's adventures. Needless to say, however, his story continued well past this.

Added DiffLines:

* TakeAThirdOption: With the true motive behind the Highbreed invasion revealed that they're dying out, Ben's only two options seem to be to take them out before they take the rest of the universe with them. Being Ben Tennyson, however, he chooses to use the Omnitrix to save them ''and'' the rest of the universe.

* SeriesContinuityError: Back in ''What Are Little Girls Mad Of?'', Verdona said it would take 60 or 70 years for Gwen to master her full powers as an Anodite. When Gwen tries using said powers in this episode, Kevin claims she said it would take 75 years.

** Back in "What Are Little Girls Made Of?", Verdona wanted to destroy Gwen's human form so she could unlock her true Anodite form and learn how to control her powers. In this episode, Gwen transforms into an Anodite for the first time, and nearly becomes DrunkWithPower, wanting to use her newfound abilities to destroy the Highbreed even if it means losing herself in the process. It takes Kevin outright ''begging'' for her not to go through with it.
* DrunkWithPower: Barely subverted. Gwen assumes her Anodite form for the first time here, and insists on trying to use her abilities to end the Highbreed invasion for good at the cost of her sanity. It takes Kevin reminding her of what she'll lose, and promising that Ben will find another way to snap her out of it.

* CallBack: After seeing the aliens displayed in the Omnitrix, Ben remarks "I don't recognize any of these guys," the same line he used in the series premiere.

* AlienInvasion: The Higbreed invasion of Earth is at full swing here and, interestingly enough, the only way the heroes can stop this massive invasion is to convince the leaders to end it themselves.
* AndTheAdventureContinues: Ben has saved the Highbreed from extinction, but to do so, it's randomized the omnitrix with all new aliens he's not familiar with. Nonetheless, with optimism, Ben decides that's never stopped him before, and decides to give his new aliens a test-run.

* LossOfIdentity: Discussed when Gwen transfroms into her Anodite form. She says that she can destroy the entire Highbreed Invasion all by herself and end the war right there and there, but at the cost of losing her humanity, which is brought up by Kevin, who talks her out of doing it.

** Kevin has been collecting parts and repairing his car throughout the previous two seasons. Here, he shows he had modified it to be combat-ready. It does get destroyed, though.

** Serving in this episode as a ChekhovsGunman, Reiny has had enough time to realize that his race's agenda is flawed and that this "genetic impureness" is the path forward. The Highbreed council agrees with him and proclaims Reiny as the new Highbreed Supreme, ending the war.
