* BreatherEpisode: After five consecutive {{Wham Episode}}s, we have a lighter episode where Finn and Jake deal with another of Magic Man's pranks.

* IFellForHours: Take to a literal extreme when Magic Man places himself in a bubble where time moves super-slow.
* ImagineSpot: Jake makes himself sad enough to move through the time bubble by imagining his funeral. Then he imagines Mr. Cupcake [[RomancingTheWidow going out with Lady]], which eventually just makes him mad. Jake then has a mental conversation with the imaginary Mr. Cupcake, telling him to take care of Lady if he died and that he values their friendship.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Magic Man could do nothing, but stare while Jake delivers an epic punch to his face due to his IFellForHours bubble.
* IFellForHours: Take to a literal extreme when Magic Man places himself in a bubble with so much density that he moves slowly.
** When Finn and Jake place themselves in it, time goes by really fast and they talk rather slowly.
* ImagineSpot: Jake imagines Mr. Cupcake going out with Lady if he died suddenly.
** He then has a conversation with Mr. Cupcake in that spot, telling him to take care of Lady if he died and that he values their friendship.
* KarmaHoudini: Averted for once with Magic Man. After stealing Jake's perfect sandwich and forcing him to undergo a riddle that made him undergo the DespairEventHorizon, it's satisfying when he's hit by Jake, elbow-dropped by giant-demon Marceline, and has his face skateboarded by BMO.[[note]]Especially satisfying since his actions had turned Finn and others into body parts, turned a bird inside out, used Jake as a scapegoat for an execution that required Abe Lincoln's sacrifice and is inadvertently the reason why Finn became so manipulative which resulted in his break up with Flame Princess and the destruction of Ice King's home.[[/note]]

* RiddleMeThis: Magic Man claims the only way to break through his time-slowing spell is to solve his riddle: "When your face shows 7:20 / When green leaves turn brown / The only way forward is down / Then you'll see the wetter, the better". When Jake gets sad enough, he's able to move at normal speed inside the time bubble.
* TemptingFate: The second sandwich that Jake makes, he thinks it'll be good. Then he bites it and its awful.
* YankTheDogsChain: Literally, since Jake is a dog. Just as he finishes his well prepared sandwich, Magic Man takes it away from him.
* YearInsideHourOutside: Magic Man steals Jake's perfect sandwich and traps it in a magic bubble where time moves slower on the inside.

* RiddleMeThis: Magic Man claims the only way to break through his time-slowing spell is to solve his riddle: "When your face shows 7:20 / When green leaves turn brown / The only way forward is down / Then you'll see the wetter, the better". When Jake hits the DespairEventHorizon and breaks down crying, that turns out to satisfy the conditions.

* RiddleMeThis: When the clock hits 7:10 when someone frowns.

* YankTheDogsChain: Literally, since Jake is a dog. Just as he finishes his well prepared sandwich, Magic Man takes it away from him.
