** In the Uzbek dub, they censor any and all kissing scenes because apparently, MoralGuardians in Uzbekistan think that kissing in kids' shows is inappropriate.

When it's day in India, it's night in Boxwood Terrace, and vice versa. When Celery takes the kids to a beach somewhere in the southern hemisphere, Mindy realizes that if she makes the day last a long time, Ahana won't get to wake up, resulting in a ''very'' subtle lesson on empathy.
** "Ain't No Mars Mountain High Enough" has a moral about teamwork.
** "Astronaut Ellen Ochoa" has the moral that the best solutions can come from the most unlikely places. Also that play is important for children and you should enjoy being a kid.
** "Who Messed Up The Treehouse?" - "Problems aren't going away unless you help solve them. We should all take care of the place we live."
** "Fact Or Fiction?" - "If something is too good to be true, it probably is. Do your own research to find out if something is true or not".
** "Sean Has A Cold" teaches us that you can have a good time, even when things don't go your way.

** ''The entire show'' wouldn't have happened if the satellite radio station didn't play the 50s song "[[DiegeticSoundtrackUsage Jet Propulsion]]", and thus lead the Propulsion family to Earth.
** In "Face on the Fritz", Jet gets distracted by the ice cream truck and accidentally breaks Sunspot's pet house. The kids consult Face 9000 for instructions on how to build a new pet house, but Face breaks down and has to be repaired, and the kids have to use a bulky PC and learn what programming is. Face 9000 later comes back with an all-new look. In summation, an ice cream truck caused Face 9000's MidSeasonUpgrade.
** In "Satellite Selfie", Jet serves some pretty disgusting cookies to Sean, Sydney, and Mindy. They decide to order some pizza to get the taste out of their mouths, and consult a satellite map to find pizza near them. They find out that the map is outdated since it doesn't have Jet's house, and try to get an aerial picture view of the house in the process. So, rutabaga and garlic cookies allowed Jet's house to be added to a satellite map.
** Jet 2 is built so that Jet could be in two places at once (watch ''Commander Cressida'' with Sydney and hang lights with Sean). However, Jet 2 becomes an important plot device who [[spoiler:has saved the kids' lives]]. Thanks to a cartoon and some LED lights, the Propulsions get to stay on Earth and write more stories about it.

* IntergenerationalFriendship: Jet, Sean, and Sydney, who are possibly in their mid-to-late preteens, are friends with 4-year old Mindy.

** Mitchell seems to have a bad case of this as shown in "Kid-Kart Derby". When he wins the soapbox derby, he is the only one cheering for him and even asks anyone if they wants autographs from him, but instead everyone is looking up at and cheering Jet (who was parachuting) even though he lost the derby. Mitchell is the ''complete'' opposite of Jet, who is very selfless and tries not to expose his alien identity because he doesn't want to be a celebrity and leave his friends.

* BrokenBird: If you think about it, Sean really has it rough. Sean’s got a DisappearedDad and a mother who’s almost always working. He’s also a huge perfectionist. He always needs everything to be the way he wants it to, and he gets very upset when he doesn’t get his way. He idolizes Neil Armstrong heavily, to the point of obsession, and wishes to be like him, but he can’t. Sean also fears cramped spaces, heights, and easily gets space-sick (and sick in general), which are things that are preventing him from becoming an astronaut. Despite wanting to be an astronaut, he heavily fears space, and is constantly forced by his friends to go. They never allow him to stay on Earth. He’s also somewhat of a ButtMonkey within the group, and no one listens to him when he suggest using the Scientific Method to solve problems. He hides all of this pain with a CheerfulChild exterior. It makes you want to jump into the TV and give him a hug.

** Sean deconstructs ThePerfectionist. Sean strives to be the best that he can be and to lead a team of astronauts to Mars in the future, but his obsessive-compulsive, fact-driven tendencies clash with Jet's cartoony alien ways and Sydney's love of fiction. Plus, in spite of his dream of being an astronaut, he fears cramped spaces and heights. When Sean fails at something, he becomes very upset and self-deprecating, things that make him a BrokenBird.
