!!Film -- Animated

* ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'':
** There was Mantis, a praying mantis, as the PintSizedPowerhouse, being strong enough to throw around Po by himself and during the battle with Tai Lung is able to hold the ropes of the broken rope bridge while the leopard and ''three'' of the other Furious Five are fighting on it (though clearly straining himself in the act).
--->'''Po:''' Wow, you guys are The Furious Five! You're all just like your action figures, only bigger! Except for you, Mantis, you're about the same.
** Shifu's not as tiny as Mantis, but he's considerably shorter than most of the cast. He takes on the Furious Five all at once in the beginning of the film (of course he trained them in the first place, which says a lot), [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beats up Po]], and manages to hold off Tai Lung in the climax of the film.
* In ''WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph'', Fix-it Felix Jr. qualifies as this. Although half [[ActionGirl Calhoun's]] height, he can lift her with one arm while holding onto a rope with the other.
* One scene from ''WesternAnimation/LegendOfTheGuardiansTheOwlsOfGaHoole'' has the great gray owl Twilight pitted against an elf owl (the smallest species of owl) during combat practice. Twilight gets his tail handed to him.
* Puss in Boots in ''WesternAnimation/{{Shrek}}'', and later in [[WesternAnimation/PussInBoots his own film]].
* Most of [[Characters/LiloAndStitchExperiments the experiments]] in the ''Franchise/LiloAndStitch'' franchise follow this trope, especially Stitch himself.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}}'': Rapunzel, who is able to lift Mother Gothel up and down the tower every day using her hair and her hands. She makes it look pretty much effortless. Also, she manages to knock Flynn Rider out several times with a frying pan, and later helps him escape some guards by letting him swing on her hair.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Frozen|2013}}'': Anna, who is able to sucker punch [[spoiler:Prince Hans (who is several inches taller than her, and noticeably better built)]] into the fjord at the end of the film effortlessly. She is shown running around the castle LeParkour style earlier, so she may be small in stature but incredibly strong, like a ballerina.
* In the climax of ''WesternAnimation/TheBookOfLife'', the small, thin Maria managed to [[spoiler:flip-kick Chakal, a strong and muscular man]].
* In ''WesternAnimation/BigHero6'', Hiro's bot that he uses for bot-fighting is small and toy-like, but easily beats a much larger bot because of its maneuverability and ability to disassemble/reassemble itself.
* ''WesternAnimation/SpiderManIntoTheSpiderVerse'' has the tiny Spider-Ham who may be strongest character in the movie with his CartoonPhysics, Miles and Gwen are super strong despite their [[TeensAreShort stature]]. Peni Parker is even smaller than Miles and Gwen and yet at one point she wrecks one of the RoguesGallery outside her MiniMecha.

!!Film -- Live-Action

* ''Franchise/StarWars'':
** Knee-high, Yoda is. [[StrangeSyntaxSpeaker But if attack him you do]], kick your choobies, he will.
-->'''Yoda:''' Size matters not. Look at me! Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well, you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a ''powerful'' ally it is.
** Ewoks. Cute little teddy bear-like aliens who can ''overpower combat trained humans'' in hand-to-hand combat with little effort. During the Battle Of Endor, some Ewoks can be seen ''throwing'' Stormtroopers around like ragdolls!
** Princess Leia in the original trilogy and her mother Padme in the prequel trilogy are played by 5'1" Creator/CarrieFisher and 5'3" Creator/NataliePortman, respectively, but they are both competent {{Action Girl}}s who can hold a fight. Shortness and ass-kicking combined seems to run in this family: according to ''The New Essential Guide to Characters'', Luke Skywalker is 5'6". Outside the Skywalker family, Rey from ''Film/TheForceAwakens'' is the same height as Luke, but that's rather average for a woman.
** Emperor Palpatine by the time of ''Film/ReturnOfTheJedi'' is also 5'6", down from an original height of only 5'8". And he's still the most powerful, terrifying Sith Lord of all time.
** ''Film/RogueOne'' adds Jyn Erso, played by 5'2.5" Creator/FelicityJones.
** ''Film/RogueOne'' also features a vehicular version in the form of the Hammerhead corvette, a Rebel ship a fraction of the size of a Star Destroyer [[spoiler:but with an armored bow and engines powerful enough to ram a disabled destroyer ''through'' a second one and into the shield gate, destroying all three Imperial ships.]]
* Mini-Me in ''Film/AustinPowers''. He's officially one-eighth Dr. Evil's size, and can take on Austin in a one-on-one fight. He's also a sneaky little guy.
* ''Literature/TheChroniclesOfNarnia'': Reepicheep, the other Talking Mice, and the Dwarfs in the various Narnia films. (see Literature)
* Lori Campbell (Creator/MonicaKeena) in ''Film/FreddyVsJason''. 5'1", and she decapitates Freddy Krueger with a fucking machete! But not before setting the dock on fire, blowing Freddy and Jason into the water.
* Creator/MonicaKeena's character in ''Crime and Punishment in Suburbia'' takes down her abusive step-father, played by Creator/MichaelIronside, with considerably less trouble than Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger had in ''Film/TotalRecall1990''.
* ''Film/{{Aliens}}'': Vasquez, the smallest of the space marines, with the [[SmallGirlBigGun biggest gun]].
* ''Film/{{Grindhouse}}'': El Wray.
* Jason White from ''Film/SupermanReturns''. He starts off as a wheezing asthmatic child, child of Lois Lane and her new squeeze. Then [[spoiler:crushes a mook with a thrown piano when said mook threatens his mother, proving that his real father is Superman.]]
* Sir Didymus in ''Film/{{Labyrinth}}''. He's a fox that rides a mid-sized dog and is an aggressive fighter, as well as a noble knight. The knight part means he's lacking a bit in the common sense department at times.
* Creator/EllenPage in a few movies:
** As Kitty Pryde in ''Film/XMenTheLastStand'', she totally owned the [[MightyGlacier Juggernaut]], [[MemeticMutation bitch]].[[note]]although admittedly, that was due more to cleverness than physical force[[/note]]
** In ''Film/HardCandy'', what she does to Jeff Kohlver is just...not right.
** In ''Film/WhipIt'', she plays the smallest member of a Roller-Derby team, who quickly becomes the star player.
* The [[WaveMotionGun Noisy Cricket]] weapon from ''Film/MenInBlack''. The size of a holdout pistol, but its recoil alone [[RecoilBoost sends the wielder flying]].
* ''Film/StarTrek2009'': L'il Spock. He beats up a bully twice his size for [[YourMom insulting his mother]] and scares the other two bullies from helping their friend.
* Princess in Zoom: Academy for Superheroes. a cue little who is able to toss 5 ton weights ONE-HANDED
* Lisbeth Salander, in ''Literature/TheMillenniumTrilogy'', played by 5'4" Creator/NoomiRapace (apparently, in the books, she's even ''smaller''). [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fu8_ttXT4J8 Watch her]] beat up a couple of bikers.
* Watch ''Film/RockyIII'' or ''[[Film/RockyIV IV]]'', for the final showdown with Creator/MrT and Creator/DolphLundgren, respectively. 5'9" Creator/SylvesterStallone is dwarfed by both men, but proceeds to hand both of them their asses.
* In ''Film/RealSteel'', Atom is an old robot a few generations behind the current fighters. He is also considerably smaller than them. With some modifications by [[GadgeteerGenius Max]] and boxing training by Charlie, Atom is able to own most of the competition.
* Chucky of the ''Film/ChildsPlay'' series is of course, a doll, which means he only reaches about knee high. But as several of his victims have found out, his small size doesn't mean he can't mess you up.
* Luther, played by 5'6" David Patrick Kelly in ''Film/TheWarriors''. While his outward personality is that of an obnoxious pest, he's actually a very dangerous individual, as you can work out from the "OhCrap" expressions on the Warriors faces when he shows up at their hideout.
* Hit Girl from ''Film/KickAss'' is eleven years old and is able to mow through a small army of trained adult killers by herself, a pint-sized [[OneManArmy one-girl-army]].
* Creator/MarkWahlberg in just about anything. He's 5'8" and almost always plays a total badass.
* From the ''Franchise/BackToTheFuture'' films, Marty [=McFly=], played by 5'4" Creator/MichaelJFox, can hold his own when facing Biff Tannen [[IdenticalGrandson and his various descendants]] (he almost got killed by Biff's great-grandfather Buford in his first meeting, [[CurbStompBattle but he whooped him in the end]]).
* ''Film/TheHungerGames'': Clove, played by 5'3" Creator/IsabelleFuhrman, toward the end manages to physically intimidate Katniss, played by 5'7" Creator/JenniferLawrence. Of course, right after, she gets beaten to death by the even bigger Thresh.
** Peeta, played by 5'5" Josh Hutcherson, can lift a hundred pound bag of flour over his head and has no trouble [[spoiler:lifting the much larger Cato off of Katniss and tossing him aside.]]
* In ''Film/KillerKlownsFromOuterSpace'', the smallest klown knocks a grown man's head clean off with a single punch. Justified because the klowns are actually extraterrestrial monsters.
* Yukio in ''Film/TheWolverine'', compared to the rest of the cast.
* Creator/TomCruise in almost anything, particularly as Ethan Hunt in the ''Film/MissionImpossible'' series, and Maverick in ''Film/TopGun''.
* ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse'':
** The titular character in ''Film/AntMan1''. After being shrunk down, he retains his mass, meaning that the average strength of his punch focused on an incredibly small surface makes him act like a bullet. He has to learn how much strength he has to apply in a single punch so as not to kill everyone he attacks.
** Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow is tiny compared to the rest of the cast (Scarlet Johanson is 5'3"), but she still fights armies of burly dudes, kills multiple aliens (even wounding Corvus Glaive) and held her own against SuperSoldier Bucky Barnes ''twice''.
** Bruce Banner, as his actor Mark Ruffalo stands at 5'7.5" which makes him much, much shorter the majority of the male Avengers. This is fitting for a scientific NonActionGuy like Banner, however [[UnstoppableRage pissing him off]] is a still suicidal decision as he becomes '''[[HulkingOut much larger]]''', but Banner himself seems to retain some of Hulk's latent strength as he overpowers Scarlet Witch with one headlock in ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron''. Bruce also has NighInvulnerability as well as he survives falling from helicopters, aircrafts, spaceships and crashing into Earth [[CamefromtheSky from space]].
** Rocket Raccoon in ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy'', as long as he has a gun with him which also tends to be just as big if not bigger than him.
** Baby Groot in ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2'' also fits the Trope; he is less than a foot tall, but still strong enough to knock a full-grown man down.
** Valkyrie in ''Film/ThorRagnarok'' is a rather small woman (her actress is 5'3.5", which makes her at least four inches shorter than everyone else in the main cast), but she's still an Asgardian with her species' SuperStrength and SuperToughness, as well as a highly trained warrior.
** The MCU's version of [[Film/SpiderManHomecoming Spider-Man]] as well. He isn't ''tiny'', but at a rather slim 5'7" he's notably smaller than the other physical powerhouse heroes. In ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'' he was capable of taking on {{Super Soldier}}s as a [[UnskilledButStrong mostly untrained teenager]], but nevertheless defeated Bucky, Falcon and helped bring down Giant Man. In ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar,'' Spidey effectively [[DavidVsGoliath takes on]] [[spoiler:Cull Obsidian and Thanos]] who absolutely [[EvilIsBigger dwarf]] him.
** Tony Stark is 5'7', around the height of Bruce Banner, and is a total badass.
* Negasonic Teenage Warhead in ''Film/{{Deadpool|2016}}'' is a small teenage girl whose powers basically make her a human bomb.
* Tinkerbell in ''Film/{{Hook}}'' manages to take down several pirates effortlessly.
-->'''Peter:''' Are you related to WesternAnimation/MightyMouse?
* Parodied in Film/TheThreeStooges short ''Punchy Cowpunchers''. When each of the mooks tries to take away the heroine Nell (played by Christine [=McIntyre=], who was about 5'2" in real life), he gets knocked out with a single punch. And in true ladylike fashion, Nell faints after each struggle.
* Mothra in ''Film/GodzillaKingOfTheMonsters2019'', comparatively speaking. She is the smallest kaiju seen in terms of overall mass (with her wings taking most of it), but she's so powerful she can ''shatter the sky'' with her God Rays and there is a good reason she is called the Queen of Monsters as she is able to [[spoiler: defeat Rodan and even have enough physical strength to slam the much larger and stronger kaiju into the ground.]]
* ''Film/{{Moonraker}}'': After Jaws' cable car crashes, he gets pinned under a huge gear that even a hulking brute like him was struggling to lift. Then Dolly, a tiny girl, helps him and they lift the gear off him.
