* This "superhero" once protected the city and kept the peace, but he mainly enjoyed basking in the glory and felt superior due to his SuperStrength. When an intelligent young boy offered to be his sidekick, the hero threw him aside because didn't have powers and told him he works alone. He also injured several people he was trying to save, like one man whose neck he broke catching him in a suicide attempt. When he was forced to retire and raise a family, the hero was nonetheless unsatisfied with a normal life and spent most days pining over the golden years, even sneaking out looking for disasters just so he could play hero again. He also encouraged his children to think of their powers as what makes them special and superior to normal folk. He proved so unstable at work that he assaulted his boss for annoying him. After being justifiably fired, he was called to stop a rampaging robot on a remote island. He did all this behind his wife's back, a fellow superhero herself, because he saw family life as a prison. It eventually turned out that the man behind the robot was the same boy he rejected years ago, and that he wanted to prove to all the others how you could be a hero without powers. The hero barely apologized and nearly flattened the latter with a log. Later, when his family arrived on the island looking for him, nearly getting killed in the process, the inventor told them all he would sell his inventions to the public and become the hero he had always wanted to be. The so-called hero then shattered his dreams and exposed him as a pretender. When the inventor desperately tried to befriend the hero's youngest son to make up for the years he had lost as a sidekick, our "hero" brutally murdered him in cold blood. Even after all that, he learned nothing, still encouraging his son to use his powers to get ahead, and expressing barely hidden disappointment when his wife later got to be a hero instead of him. [[spoiler: Mr. Incredible, ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'']]
