* The pairing of SteveCarell and his twenty years younger costar Creator/AnneHathaway in the movie ''Film/GetSmart'' might have made the romantic subplot a bit icky, if not for Hathaway's character explaining that the MagicPlasticSurgery that completely altered looks also took years off her apparent age and that she was in fact not much younger than him. As a plot point, it also serves to explain their pairing (99's plastic surgery and Smart's lack of experience made them the only two agents KAOS didn't know after Control was compromised.)

This trope only applies IF these characters are human, but they are NOT! Fíli and Kíli are supposed to look like they\'re in their early twenties, because they are young adults for dwarfs. And Thorin\'s age were changed for the movie, because at least Balin were older than him, so he may very well be around 150s which WOULD be forty-something in appearance.

* Most of the characters in ''Film/TheHobbit'' have this. In the book, most of the dwarves look their age, but here Fíli and Kíli, who look like they're in their twenties, are actually in their seventies. Thorin counts as well, as he was actually the oldest dwarf in the book but only looks to be in his forties in the movie.
