* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'': The story of how Professor Port captured a beowolf in his youth is glossed over by the episode to reflect the fact the kids [[TheBore aren't paying attention]]. The one bit that is focused on is that his grandfather, despite smelling of cabbages, was a wise man. While his grandfather was referenced because his wise advice was relevant to the tale even though the kids don't listen to it, the story behind the unfortunate smell isn't even hinted at.

** The 2016 Halloween costume "Later That Night" is one extended Noodle Incident, mostly covering the traditional "Halloween costume round-up" at the end of their usual Halloween cartoons with only a few glimpses at Homestar and friends' "hilarious Halloween adventure". It apparently included trick-or-treating at Senor Cardgage's, ghost-hunting with "Sharp Dean" (a new female character Strong Bad made up in the 2016 April Fools' Day cartoon), and getting free samples of "Fluffy Puff Pumpkin-Spice-Latte-Flavored-Banana-Bread Malloweens" from a creepy Marshie mascot.

** In the E-mail "Bottom Ten," Strong Bad has an in-universe example. Homestar Runner somehow made Strong Bad hug a tree while Strong Bad actively wonders why he is hugging the tree and why he ''continues'' to hug it. This wondering doesn't make him stop, however.
