The circumstances with Orobashi are much different from Durin's. At least with Durin, his beating heart still remains, so it's heavily implied that he's technically still alive. Orobashi, on the other hand, has completely decayed with no remaining internal organs, so he's considered truly dead and only a fragment of his power remains.

* Similarly to Durin and Dragonspine mentioned above, Inazuma has Orobashi no Mikoto, a serpent creature that came from the Abyss and became the god of Watatsumi Island. Orobashi declared war on Narakumi Island but was defeated by the previous Electro Archon at Yashiori Island, where its remains became the Serpent's Head. However, its lingering hatred manifested into the Tatarigami, a malevolent energy that is basically the equivalent of the Malice from ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild''. The people of Inazuma created wards to suppress the Tatarigami, but those wards were destroyed by fanatical worshippers of Orobashi in the Sangonomiya resistance, causing the island to be trapped in a perpetual thunderstorm and resulting in the deaths of countless civilians due to being infected with the Tatarigami. Much like Durin, seeing the massive skeletal remains of the serpent will have you wondering if Orobashi is truly dead or if he's just "resting" and waiting for the moment he can wreak havoc on Inazuma once more...

** Then there's the Traveler confronting the Shogun herself, where she notices that the Traveler doesn't have a Vision, then declares that "[they] will be inlaid upon this statue". Considering that the Traveler ''doesn't'' have a Vision to actually take away, it's very likely that Baal intended to implant '''THEIR CORPSE''' into the statue. And given the HopelessBossFight that happens right after, had Thoma not intervened in the nick of time, she would have '''actually succeeded.'''
** The entire HopelessBossFight against the Raiden Shogun. For the first time in the story, YOU are on the receiving end of an Archon's full power, and the game takes every effort to make you feel as helpless as the mobs you slayed with Barbatos and Morax on your side. High HP and defenses, monstrous damage, full Electro resistance, and the ability to zip across the battlefield in an instant. And just when you think you might stand an inkling of a chance? '''"The Vision Hunt Decree is in force."''' All of your elemental skills and bursts, save for the Traveler's, are now sealed. From that point on, you're more or less forced to watch as your party starts dropping one by one like flies. And this is without mentioning the music that plays in the background, which features an underlying beat that resembles a heartbeat. There are no heroic undertones; just pure electronic dread. In terms of first impressions, Baal does NOT disappoint.

* The Vision Hunt Decree of Inazuma reveals another detail about Visions that's less grand than what was previously known; They aren't merely a magic focus rewarding a person's grand ambitions; They are ''literally'' that person's ambition manifest as a magic focus. And when they don't have their hands on it, their memories of things they did using that ambition become hazy or vanish entirely, to the point where most become completely different people. A town's protector forgets his beloved and his promise to remain within the village until he sees her. A compassionate samurai working under the Shogunate forgets his father's teachings and all the charity he'd performed under that guidance and considers becoming a cutthroat thug. A swordsman famed for being a steadfast, focused duelist with his eyes set on becoming the master of his style of choice becomes an absolute wreck as the guilt of shattering the dreams of those he'd bested come flooding back into his mind. It's telling that one of the Traveler's dialogue options upon seeing this unfold is calling it a fate worse than death.

** Childe’s OneWingedAngel form. After he finds that the Exuvia didn’t have Rex Lapis’ gnosis, he goes absolutely ballistic, and unleashes the full power of his Vision and his Delusion, turning into a one eyed creature that can wield both Hydro and Electro elements complete with a VoiceOfTheLegion. Even before we meet his OneWingedAngel form, TheReveal of Childe's personality as a PsychopathicManchild BloodKnight when the Traveler meets him in the Golden House can be pretty terrifying, when he has previously only been cheerful and kind to the Traveler.

* A region in Dragonspine named Wyrmrest Valley is full of the colossal bony remains of Durin; the dragon that Dvalin defeated a long time ago. The sheer scale of these bone structures gives a truly terrifying sense of just how big Durin really was, dwarfing even Dvalin himself, so imagine seeing him when he was alive. Furthermore, there's a cave in the center of the valley which still contains his beating heart. One must wonder if Durin is truly dead or just "sleeping" by undead standards, waiting for the day that he could wake up once again to reign terror on Mondstadt.

* Wuwang Hill. First off, it's an abandoned village that's located not far from Qingce Village filled with ruined homes, and posts and signboards that are knocked over. Upon entering the woods you will encounter [[HitodamaLight ghostly lights]] that float around trees and a domain that you must unlock. It doesn't help that the moment you enter its vicinity, the sky suddenly turn dark and eerie very reminiscent of Silent Hill. Even worse, reading one of the Log Books about said village reveals a grim truth; Most of the young people were sacrificed by a Sea-Monster using a whale like song, leaving only the elderly whom they all died of natural causes. It is rumored that today, these ghostly lights will attempt to lure careless adventurers to their certain doom much like their former residents.

** The InternalReveal of this comes at the end of an extremely creepy questline, and is paired with a reveal about Khaen'riah that is pure NightmareFuel on its own.

* The "We Will be Reunited" Archon Quest starts off with the Traveler going out to investigate the Treasure Hoarders activities around some ruins connected to the Abyss Order. It starts off as pretty tame but then the atmosphere changes once you enter the ruins. It's eerily empty (save for a few Hillichurls inside) despite the Treasure Hoarders from both Liyue and Mondstadt snooping around. You then reach a room with a Defiled Statue and a lone Treasure Hoarder who turns out to be dead. Paimon and the Traveler immediately attempts to bolt out of the ruins after realizing that this isn't just an ordinary problem.

Instead, you get a message from your own traveller. It only says 'Leave', without punctuation and nothing else, then the interaction ends. * TheReveal that, most likely due to the God's actions, the Sibling of the Traveler seems to have succumbed to [[BrainwashedAndCrazy some sort of]] [[TheCorruption corruption]] and is now the ''leader'' of the Abyss Order.
* The Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Currently, the most prominent one is Signora, and despite being a mortal given power by the Tsaritsa, she seems to have no trouble whatsoever in giving Venti (Barbatos, ''A GOD'') the CurbStompBattle of a lifetime (albeit Barbatos is much weaker than he normally would be due to not actively being in charge of his city), ending with her straight-up knocking him out while her EliteMooks pin the Traveler down and knock them out as well. [[EstablishingCharacterMoment This is her introductory scene,]] and it comes soon after the heroes managed to free Dvalin. It effectively demonstrates that there are many more dangerous enemies out there who will not go down easily. Worse, she's just one of ''Eleven'', and she's not even the leader.
