** Not quite, Zouken (as Zolgen Makiri) may very well have been the first head of the Matou family, and was clearly always the head in the following centuries. Which implies he came up with this depraved, hellish method of immortality himself.

** There's also the fact that Sakura is naked, and (in the dub, at least) Zouken states that she had been "violated from head to toe." That is all kinds of messed up.

** When Kayneth realized the Mage Killer was coming for him he had no fear: the hotel had been evacuated after someone (that Kayneth rightly deduced was Kiritsugu) warned about an arson, so there was no danger for TheMasquerade, and the last floor had an immense amount of traps, easily able to stop a Mage. Then Kiritsugu ''[[DungeonBypass blows up the whole hotel]] to kill two persons''. Oh, and he had Maya ready to shoot Kayneth and Sola-Ui if they left before the explosion.

* Episode 24: The battle between Kiritsugu and Kirei. [[spoiler: Both men are fighting to the death, using every resource available to them and the blows they land on each other is horrifying. First Kirei manages to close the distance quickly with his [[CharlesAtlasSuperpower insane speed]]] and punches Kiritsugu so hard in the chest, his heart explodes! Luckily, Kiritsugu had Saber's Noble Phantasm hidden within himself to heal himself and manages to shoot and graze Kirei's head with his Calico before shooting his Contender. Kirei tries to deflect the bullet with a karate chop but is forced to redirect the bullet by moving his arm, ''with the bullet still inside and traveling within'' resulting in a giant hole exiting his arm. Kiritsugu tries to cave Kirei's head in with the handle of the Contender while moving at three times his normal speed but Kirei blocks with his mangled arm, resulting in a sickening crunch. As Kiritsugu attempts to push his advantage and tries to kill Kirei with a knife, Kirei deflects all his blows and tries to destroy Kiritsugu's head before Kiritsugu dodges the death blow, moving ''four'' times as fast, and throws his knife into Kirei's kneecap before trying to shoot him one last time with the Contender. Not one to be outdone, Kirei throws the rest of his Black Keys in a circular formation as he charges down the middle to lock Kiritsugu in for the final death blow. The outcome of the battle is then interrupted as the Grail's black mud then breaks through the ceiling, engulfing both men...]]
