* SpiritualSuccessor: "Ohne Dich" is this to a song by Creator/FranzSchubert, "Wandrers Nachtlied II", which itself is a setting of the poem by the same name by Creator/JohannWolfgangVonGoethe, probably the most famous poem in German literature, in which a solitary man looks out over a peaceful forest in which "die Vögelein schweigen im Walde", "the birds in the trees are quiet", and feels that soon, he too will be at rest. In "Ohne Dich", a man looks at a forest which is "so schwarz und leer", so "black and empty", and in which "die Vögel singen nicht mehr", "the birds sing no more", because his lover has either left him or has died -- but at any rate, he's "ohne dich", "without you", and not at rest at all, but in despair.

* ForeignPeopleAreSexy: Sort of parodied in "Pussy". This is why there's the GratuitousGerman [[{{Irony}} in a predominantly English song]], though still quite ironic since German is not considered to be a particularly "sexy" language. The song itself is also a parody on the sex tourism trade.

* AnimalStereotypes: Averted in "Link 2-3-4". The ants are shown as laid back and relaxed: playing soccer, watching music, and dancing to Rammstein records instead of living in a joyless, oppressive colony with endless drudge work the way ants typically get portrayed.

* BigBeautifulWoman: "Mein Land" features a number of bathing beauties, one of which is plus sized.

* {{Fanservice}}: The "Mein Land" video features the entire band shirtless and in beach wear for most of it (and Till as a lifeguard), not to mention a lot of bikini-clad women. Towards the end, there are very quick shots of topless women and [[GirlOnGirlIsHot other women making out with each other]].

* TrueCompanions: Subverted in the video of "Haifisch". The video takes place at Till's funeral, and we see that the other band members have had fantasies of murdering him. They end up getting into a fight, which culminated in Flake crashing into Till's casket, [[spoiler: which is when they found out he [[FakingTheDead faked his death]].]]

* AxCrazy: ''Zerstören'' is about a spree killer. "Weisses Fleisch" is about a psychopath murdering a little child out of lust. "Halt" is about a ButtMonkey driven to mass murder.
** "Puppe" deserves a special mention. The song is about a child living with their sister who works as a prostitute - the child itself is severely neglected and therefore psychosocially handicapped, getting locked in a room every night and forced to hear the sister's screams. The song starts off as an eerie guitar ballad, until Till starts having a complete mental breakdown accompanied only by rattling drums.

* LastNoteNightmare: "Mein Teil" with its choir and "Stein um Stein" with its scream. "Zerstören" too, as it ends with a drawn out groan to the sounds of things being smashed to pieces, although it transitions into a short, [[LighterAndSofter much slower]] song in the end.
