* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: In Chapter 2, Kalego decides to leave Babyls because he refuses to accept Iruma as the new head of the family, using the chandelier Opera broke trying to get Iruma's hat as justificationThe chandelier costs 6.66 million to retire, even giving Iruma an unreasonable time limit of one day to gather enough money to pay for the damages. He only stays on because Iruma proves that while he is struggling to prove himself, he is making the effort to become a proper successor for Sullivan, and he does succeed in collecting enough money to pay for the damages while also pulling off an incredible PR stunt that bolsters Babyls' image.

* AChildShallLeadThem: A mafia example. Sullivan fully intends to retire as TheDon and have Iruma take his place despite being only 14 years old in the TimeSkip of the first chapter. Kalego deconstructs this, since to him, Iruma isn't mature enough to handle personal dealings the family has to go through. Iruma is actually aware of the responsibilities as TheDon, and knows he'll have to get his hands dirty.

* ArcNumber: Just like in the original manga, any digits with the number 6. This includes Babyls having members up to 6,666 people working in the organization.

During a flashback in chapter 4, Sullivan has someone killed, and Iruma knows what it means to be part of the mafia.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Downplayed. In the main manga, Sullivan was given Iruma by his parents as part of a contract. The contract ultimately worked in Sullivan's favor as he confesses to Iruma he's always wanted a grandson, so the Suzukis practically gave him what he always wanted. The deal also ultimately worked in Iruma's favor as well as he enjoys living in the demon world more than the human world. In this spin-off, Sullivan adopts Iruma of his own volition; while he still has the same motivation to have a grandson like his demon counterpart, he also adopted Iruma to repay the orphan for personally nursing him back to health.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Well, more like HeroAntagonist. In this spin-off, Azz Asmodeus is an undercover cop who intends to bring down the Babyls mafia.

** In the main manga, Kalego is terrified of Opera and would rather not deal with him at all if he can help it due to Opera having teased and bullied him relentlessly when they were students. Opera, on his end, really likes to screw with him. Here, neither of them can stand each other.

When two kids from the slums makes trouble in a restaurant Kaelgo, Opera, and Iruma himself were entering, they were causing a ruckus, and Opera and Kalego were going to teach them a lesson. Iruma decides to spare them because they remind him of his past as a kid from the slums.

Added DiffLines:

* InadequateInheritor: One of Kalego's main criticisms against Iruma and why he intended to leave the family. In his view, Iruma is too young and naive to lead Babyls, and his kindness will only serve to make the mafia look weak and encourage others to take advantage of them. It doesn't help that Iruma has no real concept of money.

** Azz starts off as being antagonistic toward Iruma when he believes the latter upstaged him during freshman orientation, though he'd later become an ardent follower and close friend alongside Clara. Here, Azz's supposed friendship with Iruma is a pretense to bring down the Babyls mafia since he's a cop in this story.

** In the original manga, Ameri and Iruma met each other by CrashIntoHello and she suspected he was human until they began to spend time with each other and start to develop feelings for one another. In Nishi's character profiles, they're ChildhoodFriends in the slums, and she began to look for him when he suddenly went missing. This is justified because according to some kids in the slums, some of the other kids have gone missing as a result when Iruma was being adopted.
* AgeLift: In the original manga, Opera and Kalego were nearly the same age when they went to Babyls. In this series, Kalego is older than Opera who was a teenager when they met Iruma.

* EmbarrassingFirstName: Subverted. Azz still goes by Alice in this manga, but he doesn't feel embarrassment from it unlike his demon counterpart who really hates his first name because his mother gave him that name, but only uses it out of respect to someone who interests him.

* GoodIsNotSoft: Iruma may be the nicest guy you want to be friends with, but remember that he is raised and taught how to be TheDon at 5 years old, meaning he would not mind having a body count even if it means the defense of his friends, family, and allies. Kalego is even the one who taught him how to use weapons when he was being his teacher.

* AdaptationalJerkass:
** Opera is a lot meaner than his demon counterpart. His introduction sees him strangling one of Sullivan's goons with his legs. Except for Iruma, he's rude to everyone and especially to Kalego.
** In the main manga, Kalego is a strict, but otherwise fair teacher and loyal to Babyls and Sullivan, even if he does complain about his superior's antics. Here, his loyalty is a facade to hide the fact that he's a greedy man who embezzling Babyls' funds. Keep in mind, Kalego himself is in charge of their finances.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Given the overhauled backstories since everyone is human, this was bound to happen.
** Unlike in the main manga where Opera is loyal to Sullivan and willingly participates in his antics, Opera is initially on hostile terms with him. Sullivan was even in the midst of torturing him when he brought Iruma to Babyls HQ. While Opera is just as loyal to Iruma as he is in the main manga (albeit after being touched by Iruma's kindness), Sullivan had to intimidate him into joining his crime family.
** In the main manga, Kalego is terrified of Opera and would rather not deal with him at all if he can help it due to Opera having teased and bullied him relentlessly when they were students. Opera, on his end, really likes to screw with him. Here, neither of them can stand each other.

* Foil: Iruma has a huge contrast to his mainline counterpart. The original Iruma had a personal baggage and has his soul sold to Sullivan but the latter decides to adopt him as his grandson, and tried to avoid drawing attention to himself and is just trying to survive in his new world until he managed to adapt. Mafia Iruma was just a CheerfulChild who just wanted to live his life until he saved Don Sullivan. And just like his demon counterpart, Sullivan adopts Iruma as his grandson, and even made him the new Don. Original Iruma has ParentalIssues with his biological parents while Mafia Iruma doesn't know who his parents are. They even have a different kind of relationship with Ameri. In the original manga, Iruma encountered Ameri by random chance and accidentally bumps into her, and their relationship with each other began to bloom the more Iruma spends time with her.
