For a variety of reasons (budget constraints, contractual obligations, CreatorBacklash, plain ol' jackassery, etc.), sometimes a person will be involved in the creation of a work, but will go uncredited. It's generally only noteworthy if they played a significant role in the creative process (playing a major character, drafting a screenplay, writing a lyric); if the person is well-known enough to have a page on this wiki (many cameos meet this description); or if the role they played was insignificant, but the person went on to achieve greater fame thereafter. If we were to list every person who was involved in the work but went uncredited, this page would balloon to tens of thousands of words simply because of the hundreds of uncredited extras who appear in Hollywood films.

* Anime/Persona3TheMovie: Shinya Takahashi was not credited for providing Koromaru's barks, with Koromaru's voice actor only being listed as "???" in the credits. His role in the movies was only revealed after he reprised his role for VideoGame/Persona3Reload.

* The original English dubs of VideoGame/Persona3 and VideoGame/Persona4 were entirely uncredited. Naoto's voice actor from 4 was unknown for a decade before Creator/AnnaGraves confirmed it was her in 2018, and as of this writing the English voice actors for Ken, Fuuka and Chidori from 3 remain unknown (all of these characters except Chidori were Darrined in spinoffs, some of which did feature voice credits, and the characters from 3 would be recast again for VideoGame/Persona3Reload).

* The G-OLM in VisualNovel/VirtuesLastRewards dub not only remained uncredited, but nobody knew who he was. Even the people who worked on the voice acting had no idea who the voice is from, with it only later being revealed that he was voiced by Creator/DaveBMitchell (Tenmyouji's VA).

VisualNovel/VirtuesLastRewards dub not only remained was completely uncredited, but nobody knew who he was. Even and while most of the characters' voice actors would become known via outside sources, G-OLM's remained completely unknown for a long time, and even the people who worked on the voice acting had no idea who the voice is from, with voiced him; it was only later being revealed that he was voiced by Creator/DaveBMitchell (Tenmyouji's VA).VA).
** VisualNovel/ZeroTimeDilemma only included partial voice acting credits, with only six of the nine main characters' and Zero's voice actors being listed in the credits and the game's manual; Carlos, Junpei and Diana's voice actors were not credited, and while the latter two were later identified Carlos's voice actor has not been confirmed (voice matching suggests it's Creator/AndrewBowen, but this is not certain).
** The Nonary Games version of VisualNovel/NineHoursNinePersonsNineDoors mostly averts this, with most of the characters' voices being listed in the credits, but Snake's was only credited as "Morphogenetic Field Voice".

* The original English dub of VideoGame/Persona3 was entirely uncredited, and as of this writing the English voice actors for Ken, Fuuka (both of whom were Darrined in spinoffs) and Chidori remain unknown.

* Creator/EdwardNorton was uncredited for his role as the masked King Baldwin in the original theatrical release of Film/KingdomOfHeaven, as he felt that it would maintain the character's mystery if audiences didn't know who was behind the mask. This was downgraded to NotNamedInOpeningCredits in the film and DVD relases, which added Norton's name into the closing credits.

* Hideaki Itsuno was the sole credited director for VideoGame/DevilMayCry2, but he wasn't the director for a good chunk of its development, only being brought in for the final six months of development to try and salvage the project. The original director remains unknown, but the game's poor reception played a part in Itsuno deciding to direct VideoGame/DevilMayCry3DantesAwakening from beginning to end.

* While Yoshihisa Kurosawa designed and did the audiovisual assets for VideoGame/HongKong97, the actual programming was done by someone who remains unknown. All that's known of this programmer is that his day job at the time was working for Creator/Enix, which is actually why Kurosawa agreed not to identify or credit him.

The fact was only made known in 2023, 10 years after the film's release.

* The actor Sergey Bezrukov portrayed Music/VladimirVysotsky in the biopic Vysotsky: Thank You for Being Alive under heavy makeup while having his voice dubbed by Vysotsky's son Nikita, and his involvement with the film was kept a secret until he confessed to playing the role some time later. A TV version of the movie released two years later finally credited him, but before then, Vysotsky was listed as playing himself. The reason for all this secrecy was apparently because the producers wanted audiences to be able to pretend like they were seeing the real Vysotsky up on screen.
