Linkara points out that the dialogue one of the characters uses in the ''Nightcat'' comic sounds horribly out-dated That is, the comic was written in the 1990s but has slang that sounds like it came from the 1970s. This concept is then spoofed in a gag where [[UsefulNotes/TheDarkAgeOfComicBooks 90s Kid]] points out how lame he thinks the dialogue of the comic is [[HypocriticalHumor while he ''himself'' is speaking in outdated 1990s slang.]]

* The Creator/DiC and Cloverway dubs of ''Anime/SailorMoon'' (especially the latter) feature a lot of the young characters talking like this.

* In the ''Series/SesameStreet'' picture book story "My Babysitter and Me", also published as "I Can Have Fun with My Babysitter!" Zoe has a teenage babysitter named Becki ("My name is Becki, with an 'i'.") who tells her that they're "totally going to have a fun night," later says "Like, thanks" and when leaving tells her father "No problem, dude!
