* The half-masked man who hands out tickets in ''Film/{{Demoni}}''. In his case, the fact that he never speaks seems to convey ''contempt'' more than it does active menace.

** Dark Samus from the ''Prime'' trilogy is another major antagonist who never speaks or writes a word; this especially stands out in ''Corruption'', which features fully voice-acted cutscenes, and of which she is the BigBad. She is nonetheless able to formulate complex long-term plans and communicate them to her followers, so whether she only speaks offscreen or is capable of some other form of communication is left to interpretation

* Ridley, despite being a major antagonist of ''Franchise/{{Metroid}}'' and the one personally responsible for starting the series in motion by destroying Samus's home colony and killing her parents, never says anything beyond roaring. He doesn't even leave behind any written logs to scan from in the ''VideoGame/MetroidPrimeTrilogy'', instead we get our information from his underlings, who have implied that he's a cunning warlord who relishes in violence and death. [[SuddenlySpeaking He's quite chatty in the official Metroid manga and prequel however]], so it's not like he's just some animalistic beast.
** Of course all that does is leave it open for [[LetsPlay/{{slowbeef}} oth]][[LetsPlay/{{Diabetus}} ers]] [[WebVideo/{{Retsupurae}} to voice him]].

* This is what Charlotte Page becomes in the ''Series/HenryDanger'' episode "The Beat Goes On" after she is musically brain warped by Dr. Minyak.

* ''Fanfic/JauneArcLordOfHunger'': [[spoiler:After [[BigBad Darth Nihilus]] [[DemonicPossession takes over Jaune's body]] in "[[Recap/JauneArcLordOfHungerDestiny Destiny]]", he becomes almost completely mute. Throughout his entire battle with Jaune's friends in "[[Recap/JauneArcLordOfHungerNihilus Nihilus]]", he gives them the silent treatment outside of one moment where he uses his [[BrownNote Force scream]] to [[MakeMeWannaShout attack them.]]]]

* The BigBad of ''WesternAnimation/BigHero6'', [[MeaningfulName Yokai]], combines this trope with his [[WhiteMaskOfDoom creepy Kabuki mask]], [[DarkIsEvil black coat]] and massive swarm of [[{{Nanomachines}} microbots]] to make for a ''terrifying'' NoNonsenseNemesis. He finally speaks when [[spoiler:revealing himself as Professor Callaghan to Alisair Krei.]]

* [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Bowser]] in ''VideoGame/PaperMarioStickerStar'' doesn't speak at all, only roars.

* In ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged'', after Android #13 fuses with the remains of #14 and #15, he becomes completely silent, never speaking a single word beyond grunts as Dr. Gero orders him to execute Goku in vengeance.

* In ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'', although possibly unintentionally, [[spoiler:Harbinger]] comes off as one. You might expect a [[EvilGloating long exposition]], but you [[NoNonsenseNemesis just get shot]] instead.

* [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Bowser]] in ''VideoGame/PaperMarioStickerStar'' doesn't speak at all, and only gets voiced by Kenny James for his roaring. [[note]]This was due to Shigeru Miyamoto allegedly not liking Bowser's portrayal in previous games[[/note]]. It makes Bowser rather menacing compared to the humorous and [[EvilIsHammy hammy]] portrayal he got in all the other ''VideoGame/PaperMario'' and ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigi'' games. Unfortunately, limited screentime in ''Sticker Star'' and the sheer amount of personality Bowser showed in those previous Mario [=RPGs=] undermined whatever the developers were going for, and players did not respond positively. The backlash lead to this interpretation of Bowser getting dropped from future Mario [=RPGs=].
* The Dark Knights in ''VideoGame/RecordOfAgarestWar'' never speak.

* [[spoiler:Jill]] in ''VideoGame/{{Resident Evil 5}}'' when she's BrainwashedAndCrazy only has two lines to Wesker and Excella, and none toward Chris and Sheva. When the brainwashing starts to wear off, she utters Chris' name.

** Michael Myers from ''Franchise/{{Halloween}}''. The only sound he makes is [[VaderBreath heavy breathing]], which along with many of his odd mannerisms makes him creepily inhuman.

** Jason Voorhees from ''Franchise/FridayThe13Th'', in his case, he is a barely sentient IdiotSavant.

* Because of the influence of ''Franchise/{{Halloween}}'', many SlasherMovie killers will not speak at all as they go about their business, notable exemple:
** Michael Myers from ''Franchise/{{Halloween}}''. He only makes a [[VaderBreath heavy breathing]], this alongs with many of his odd mannerisms makes him creepily inhuman.

** Ghostface from ''Film/{{Scream}}'' zig-zag between this trope. While he does not speaks on screen, he threatens his victims by phonecalls.

* The BigBad of ''Disney/BigHero6'', [[MeaningfulName Yokai]], combines this trope with his [[WhiteMaskOfDoom creepy Kabuki mask]], [[DarkIsEvil black coat]] and massive swarm of [[{{Nanomachines}} microbots]] to make for a ''terrifying'' NoNonsenseNemesis. He finally speaks when [[spoiler:revealing himself as Professor Callaghan to Alisair Krei.]]

This is the villainous counterpart to HeroicMime; while the hero's silence makes them [[FeaturelessProtagonist open to interpretation]], the Silent Antagonist's silence makes them a sort of EnigmaticMinion, or in the worst of cases, an [[ImplacableMan utterly implacable force of nature]]. There is just something deeply uncomfortable about a character who commits various abominable acts [[DissonantSerenity without so much as a peep from the perpretator]], their indifference making them seem utterly inhuman.

* Because of the influence of ''Franchise/{{Halloween}}'', many SlasherMovie killers will not speak at all as they go about their business, the main exceptions being the Ghostfaces from ''Film/{{Scream}}'', who menaced their victims over the phone; Freddy Krueger from ''Franchise/ANightmareOnElmStreet'', and Chucky from ''Film/ChildsPlay''.

* Victoria in ''New Moon'', the second ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' film, is very active as an antagonist but never says a word. It's zig-zagged, though: in a deleted scene, she reminisces about her dead mate to a pair of humans whom she's about to kill; if left in, that would have been the only scene in the film in which she spoke, and she speaks freely in both the first and third films. This is somewhat in keeping with the books, in which she is voiceless in the first, is an entirely offscreen menace in the second, and doesn't appear until the climax of the third in which she is SuddenlyVoiced.

** King Bulblin from ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess'' doesn't talk and is assumed to be an unintelligent monster [[SuddenlyVoiced until he gets a few lines near the end.]]

* The Thin Man in the first ''Film/CharliesAngels'' movie. He originally had lines in the script, but they decided he'd be more villainous if he was TheVoiceless.

** Their leader, the Night King, never speaks a word in any language on-screen. This simply adds to the feeling of him being more of a force of nature than an actual, emotion-driven person.
