** Semi-subverted in that ''everyone'', including the good guys, wears pelts or leather, it's just some of them have found ways to dye it so it doesn't look like leather (to the audience, anyway). Apparently weaving became a lost art to the villagers over 3700 years, or it's just easier to kill and skin an animal if you need clothes. The only time we see anyone wearing anything different is Senku and Taiju making themselves [[GardenGarment loincloths out of leaves]] when they first de-petrified. Eventually they figure out how to make hemp cloth, which leads to more modern clothing.

* ''Film/{{The Viking|1928}}'' (1928): Many of the Vikings attacking Lord Alwin's castle wear primitive fur garments, and so do many of the Greenlanders forming Eric the Red's company. In contrast Leif, King Olaf and Olaf's guests do not wear furs, giving the impression that in the movie's world, wearing shaggy furs and pelts is reserved for pagans.
